I am just wondering, how many of us here actually exercise everyday.
*
gave up playing wow 6 mths, and taking a lot better care of my appearance now, exercising/weightlifting 6 days a week, no regrets

in fact I usually look forward to exercise time everyday

mondays, weds, fridays, and sundays - OVT (Optimized Volume Training) + 20 minutes post workout cardio.

tues, thurs, sats - fasted cardio for about 30 minutes + some abs workout

pretty boring routine. i hate cardio, time consuming, energy wasting and worst of all PLAIN BORING!!
*
you better read this article by Layne Norton

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/layne36.htm

about fasted cardio specifically

Don't think body type matters. I'm just a newbie anyway, get my knowledge from reading articles from experienced guys.

http://www.scientificpsychic.com/fitness/diet.html

I read from a book called "Burn the fats, feed the muscle". It suggests us to measure body fat content every week, so that we can adjust exercise and diet according to body response. 1 month is a bit long and daily is overkilling.
*
You can't trust the body fat/lean body mass measurement there. We're not caucasians, we're asians and we have a lot more body fat to muscle ratio than them. I plugged in my details and it says I have 8.5% body fat when I still have quite a bit of fat on my belly. I'm probably more to 13-14%.

I want to buy a skinfold caliper, but there is no profesional here to measure for me. The only thing I can do is to use those not-so-accurate devices and methods.

The website is just a reference. My target BF% posted here is based on that. 2 weeks ago, I was 18.2%. Now, I am 16.5%. I have another kit to measure body fat. From 20.8% down to 19.2%.

I think this site is quite accurate. Based of calculations from the BMI taking into consideration race.

But it doesnt have any waist/neck/wrist measurements.
BMI is a screwed up indicator. A lot of body builders have high BMI, but their body fats % is very low.

Skinfold is still the best afaik.
*
Yup BMI/body fat calcs without measurements don't work for bodybuilders, they're special case. I mean, they're bodybuilders, they should know their lean body mass is not in proportion to the general population and thus not use such calculators. But for 95% of the other people out there, it should be fairly accurate.

Rich - run at slow pace but try to do longer duration....it's better this way to oxidise those fat
*
You burn a bigger percentage of fat to glycogen while sleeping in bed too, but does that mean it's better cardio? No. The point of doing cardio is to burn the most amount of calories as possible, meaning pushing yourself, doing HIIT, whatever.

If you go walking and burn 150 calories of fat and 50 calories of glycogen and think that is better than going running and burning 300 calories of glycogen and 100 calories of fat, you're wrong. If you only burn 50 calories of glycogen, all the extra glycogen you still have circulating in your body and from the food you eat will still turn to fat anyway, so only total calories matter.

Cardio session only 20 - 30 minutes. Lot of fat to lose so need more cardio.

Seriously think this girl is just naturally like that only. Like 80-90% genetic luck of draw.

Where's the work she put into 'building' her physique compared to the really 'built' women posted earlier?

The reason we're losing weight or getting ripped is not just to look sexy for men. Duh.
*
She was posting a picture of a women with 6 pack abs/extremely low body fat and asked for an opinion as to whether that looks good. I gave mine. I said 'guys find it attractive' cos, for a fact, we do. You think what you want with that fact as to whether I was implying anything which I wasn't. I sure as hell am not just working out just to look sexy for girls either.
