I was using 1333 ram in my MBP Mid-2010 which came with 1066 ram. So far no probs.

it works but apple care told me that its not as stable as 1066

i'm using MBP 13" i5 and the RAM is 1333Mhz so if want to buy kingston KVR is should find the 1333Mhz rite? (still a mac noob)

You mentioned KTA and not KVR, it's that's the price, it's cheap coz KTA rams cost about RM200+ per piece and that's what Apple recommended. While KVR is like what BRY mentioned, about RM69/pcs.

yes, but it automatically down clocks to 1067MHz. sometimes, there are rare cases where it says 1300MHz but the system becomes really unstable. i tried installing a ddr3 pc12800 1600MHz 4gb stick once one my mid 2009 mbp and it became really really unstable (kernel panic etc) but i still managed to run on it for at least 10 minutes. these kinda upgrades are tricky cause u might risk damaging some of the components if not done according to apple's specifications.

so guys, the safest is to get KTA-MB1066/4G for RM109/pc for my mid2009 MBP rite? it will work 100%? reason m asking is because i m working in overseas and its not able to bring my laptop to the shop. m getting some incoming ppl to bring in for me. if its ok then i will get it.

Yeahhh. successfully upgrading my MBP i5 2.3ghz to 8GB 1333mhz DDR3 Ram and install new 500GB 2.5HDD 7200RPM. Now its time for OSX Lion Clean Install. biggrin.gif

both tam will work as far as i'm concern...but kta seem like higher grade ram tested and approved by apple. kvr is those normal value ram..

Dude, that is KTA, not some cap-palang value RAM. If you can get KTA RM68-90 let me know k. We will sapu whole box.
