Hello all. May i ask what is the retail price of FULL parallel desktop version in local Apple store? Price of online store is around rm349 but i saw MacCity is selling the "Education Version" for rm179 if i am not mistaken. What really pissed me off is the workers in Mac City seems to have no clue what they are selling. I tried to ask what is Education Version and they told me they DON'T KNOW. Even worse, one of the worker came and asked me, have i tried the pirated version? So unprofessional! Can someone tell me the price please? Thanks! =)

Online price is US$79 (RM245), while the Mac stores are selling RM289. They wouldn't sell the Education Version to me unless I could provide a valid student card.

I ended buying online at US$39.99 from Parallels, using the VMWare promo code.

PD& should be good from initial review. 60% faster is nice.

Just to share,
For remote desktop application to Windows machine based on RDP protocol, CoRD so far the best.
More info: http://cord.sourceforge.net/

the M$ one is total rubbish lol.

I'm having trouble installing Windows 7 via bootcamp. It stuck on "completing installation".

Before this I've already successfully installed Windows 7 in Snow Leopard, but I delete the Windows partition during the Lion upgrade.

Anyone facing the same problem and found a fix? I'm not that desperate though, as I rarely use Windows anymore. But its good to have Windows around for emergencies though.

Hi all, i plan to get PD 7 via online, and when check out , it recommended me to get "Extended Download Service - Securely back up your software online for two (2) years".

I am a bit confuse here, i taught after we purchase it will provide a license key which can be activated via online while the software itself can be downloaded anytime from PD website.

Then my 2nd question is, after i purchase PD7 i am eligible to get all the new patches in PD7 series right ?

Extended download service enables you to download the PD7 from them anytime for 2 years. If not you will only be given a limited time to download the software. If you make a backup of the PD7 software after you had downloaded ion your Mac, you will not require the extended download service.

As for license key it is to be used to activate the downloaded software.

I believe that you will be eligible for all new patches and updates for PD7.

Agreed, I use CoRD all the time for managing Exchange servers. It works well even over a Streamyx 1mbit line.
