hello every body, this is my review after test drive exora yesterday...

1.interior..nice, leather seat, meter with red iluminator..very nice to look, very spacious, even me with 170cm height can sit comfortable at last row, ac got blower for row 2 and 3..very cool..nice, suspension aso good, no bumping feel like flying even in 3rd row..when fold 2nd row n 3rd row, u can put a whole sofa 3 seater inside. very spacious..

2.exterior..nice face, design ok, from side look almost like wish, but a bit bigger and higher,..behind, ok...

3.engine.. for me, horrible, there a hill just 30 meter high with road lengh 300meter at taman lensen to taman bukit anggerik(cheras KL), exora cannot go even to 50kmh to climb that hill.. in the car got 5 person with everage weight of 60kg-70kg, ive aredi drive like manual, which at the bottom of the hill, i put to L, then full trotle, after that when change to 2, it feel cant go more, the engine just can affort to maintain at 45kmh - 50kmh....even my uncle avanza 1.5g can go up that hill 60kmh-70kmh with the same amount of people plus 2 children..

Conclusion from me, who ever look for style, design, comfort, pls go ahead and buy, but pls dont aspect to get much power from it, no power lo... dun be embarass if you buy it and cant climb genting highland with full of your family inside while a proton wira 1.5 standard can overtake you.
just my 2 cent..

waa, if really like tat then need to highlight this is proton. I used to live near Lensen so i know how the slope is. 5ppl only goes 40-50kmh seems like it really does not have much torque to move. Hard to imagine if 7adults on it ...

I've seen the car up close, and from the looks of it, a few plus points and some negative points.

PLUS
-3rd row space is great, far better than Citra or G.Livina.
-aircond blower until the 3rd row is good.
- space for driver is decent.
-tyre size and rim is ok.
-design is very good, although exist some similarities, but its not obvious.

NEGATIVE
-engine no good. Its made originally for sedan class, never for MPV
-interior is too plasticky and too hard for my taste.
-door doesn't shut properly, need to close hard to feel the grip.
-door looks thin. I wonder how the hell exora survive side crashes with it.
-price is still dissapointing for a local company that uses 90% local materials. Even Citra 2.0L is same price with M-line (not including the rebate)

I was starting to accept Proton back into reality...beginning with Exora, but just yesterday Bank Negara announced an increase on all bank car loans for imported cars. Jeezz....another reason to go back hate Proton and our government for its protection plan.

Diff segment for P2, Perodua MPV is a 5+2 seater while Exora is a 7 seater. So it depends on one's needs to cater how many ppl .

yeap, but that +2 makes a different..
Its a 5 seater, but with 7 seater capable.. (for kids) just like Nissan Cube@Mitsuoka MPV.

Yes, definitely different segment...

Dimensionally...

Proton Exora :

Length : 4,592mm
Width : 1,809mm
Height : 1,691mm
Wheelbase : 2,730mm

Toyota Passo Sette/ Daihatsu Boon Luminas :

Length : 4,180mm to 4,195mm (Depending on spec)
Width : 1,620mm
Height : 1,695mm
Wheelbase : 2,750mm

Proton : C segment, Perodua (Daihatsu/ Toyota) : B segment

Interior space :

Proton

In my opinion, Proton Exora is more suitable for those with large families as it has rear airconditioning system unlike Passo Sette, however, Passo Sette is more preferable for those with small family and also, even single people, especially young females....
