Was reading through star papers today (29th May) and lol look at world page 41. Maxis is actually taking in the older generation of iphones. Its a trade in and you get a rebate of rm 1050 to top up for a new iphone 3g. This is only limited up to 22nd June. Wow Maxis is so desperate to sell of all their iphone 3g. Wonder what they will do with the old iphones though.

Too bad for us that they advertised this on Friday where Saturday & Sunday is both off days so customers could not reach them, good for them is that by Monday some will trade their old for new and some will enquiry more about it thus might give them more business.

I am sure they will have a boatload of extra stock. Good think Maxis!

Their plans are too restrictive and rarely benefit the users. Two year contracts for so little discount is and no unlimited data plan by default is outrageous.

I signed up for iValue (24 months) in March, and only in May itself, I decided to further my study in overseas.

What is the best solution for my case?

Thank you.

it really simple.
the iphone which is rm260 is da 16gb rite...and u r going for a 24 months contract...
da rrp of iphone is 2960...u r paying rm2260, but in tat, rm2000 wud be returned to u in terms of ur talktime...
so u wud be paying only rm260...

u r paying alot at one go, but just tink of it like ur monthly commitment fees paid in one go...smile.gif

1-the RM 2000 is advance payment which is ur money also = 1st few months u dont need to make payment if ur bill not exceed 375

2-then ur plan must use 375 per month whether u call or no call , usage including local call & 3gb data for u to suft net or check email

1&2 = getting iphone 3g 16gb will be RM 260 only

total u need to pay when u wan to get the iphone will be RM 2260

Hi. I have some question regarding the purchase of Iphone 3g from Maxis. I'm a DIGI user and if I wish to buy the phone from Maxis ..does that mean that i'll have to switch from DIGI to Maxis? Can someone explain more about the plan. I dont understand it. We have to pay monthly isit? If I buy Iphone not from Maxis, can I use the Internet? Thanks smile.gif

u dun pay rm 200o over five months...
maxis rebates it 2 ur acc over 5 months...meaning for few months, a certain amt wud be deducted from ur bill
why are u guys making life so hard...
its a simple out n out clear plan... rclxub.gif

well its not really clear, it doesnt has the word "rebate as talktime/data for the first 5 months" does it now

so how does the 24 month plan come in? i have to stick with maxis and pay rm100 monthly for 2 years?

Just got my i3G, 8GB. Is it normal that the Home button feels a little hard to press? Other than that, I'll be enjoying 500MB free data every month. rclxm9.gif

If yours is a new set, the home button should not be 'hard' to press. It should be quite responsive.

24 month contract is a commitment...
like tis...u walk in 2 maxis store...sign up for a 24 month i value 2..
u wud be paying rm 1260 for the phone itself..
u hv 2 add rm620 prepayment...
so, now u hv 2 pay rm1880 on da day of ur purchase
in tis situation...u wudnt hv pay ur bill for the next five months
then after five months, u'll continue paying rm155 for the remaining period...
get it
