QUOTE(Phonzy @ Apr 20 2009, 05:52 PM) 1) it fluctuates to one bar to full bar erratically i think there must be the issue of Maxis, not the phone. i'm using a yellowsn0w-unlocked one with Maxis and those problems are common to me, till a stage which i stop bother about it anymore. Maxis service has been kinda bad lately (at least for me). the same happens to my circle of friends who's on Maxis too, which are not iPhone users.2) frequent disconnections 3) people can't get me sometimes when that place is a common area with full line 4) like, when talking halfway can hear, cannot hear, can hear, etc. 5) most of the time my first phone call wouldn't get through and i have to call again..only 2nd time will go through.. boy, do i suck at describing but i hope u get my drift... thanks! My Maxis iPhone is having good reception. In fact, better than my LG KS20. No prb on reception.

QUOTE(stutzedward @ Apr 20 2009, 07:56 PM) again, this strengthens my claim that the so-called problems is reflected against maxis (area dependent)if you guys reckon that maxis is bad, try using the optus network 3 weeks ago; i nearly shed a tear. from the whirlpool forum, i have heard that vodafone's quality is also joining the bandwagon. so stop complaining and keep hallucinating that you are paying first world price, for third world infrastructures. |

Give me some comment plz thx Its very simple to activate Put in your Sim Card and connect the Phone and it will activate it. Usually Maxis would do it for you but its up to you if you want to DIY. I did it myself , plug in the sim card , wait , then connect to iTunes. Just answer a few questions , create an iTunes account or just use one ! Voila its activated |

Hi, just got an iPhone from Maxis.
Kinda confused what to do, hope someone can help. 1. Do I need to charge the iPhone for 8hours the first time (like what most ppl tell us to do when we buy new phone)? Sorry if this has been asked before. But some ppl told me yes, some told me no. So I'm really confused. 2. How come during phone calls or when checking voice mail, the iPhone screen turns blank? And I can't really do anything to make the screen appear back. I need to wait for some time and press the sleep/wake button, then only the screen reappears. But by that time my call already ended. Is this a setting somewhere or is it a defect? Thanks for any help guys. |

1) U dun need to charge for 8 hrs for first use. Just fully charge it and yr good to go.
2) iPhone is smart, it has 'proximity' sensor that when u talk on the fone, it disables the screen so that ur cheek will not accidentaly touches the screen that causes any 'input'. Hence it goes blank. After u talk, wait for 2 seconds, the screen will come back. Advised you to download the manual from Apple webpage to learn more about the fone. |

Thanks stutzedward.
May I ask, how to turn the screen back on manually? For instance, when I need to key-in some numbers like calling voicemail, or call-centers. |

Do a demo, when yr talking half way thru, take the fone away from yr ear, the display will automatically come back in about 2 seconds. It sud work this way.
