QUOTE(tALEz @ Apr 20 2009, 02:14 PM) Guys, can someone confirm please. I've asked this before, but no one responded yet. Can we use the iValue Plan features (airtime minutes & data) on non-iPhone phones, like Nokia, etc? Or must they really only tie to the iPhone unit itself. Yes, you can.

Can we use the iValue Plan features (airtime minutes & data) on non-iPhone phones, like Nokia, etc? Or must they really only tie to the iPhone unit itself. I was being told that the data plan MUST BE TIED TO iPhone when I inquire initially but then, I called up Maxis twice and made an official inquiry thru email, they replied me and CONFIRMED that YOU CAN USE the iVALUE data plan on any 3G phone! So don't worry. I am using DiGi on my iPhone and have the 3G line in my LG-KS20 leave at home for my kids and wife to play and surf web. 1st month billing cut off, no problemo!

Not sure if this is the right place to ask. Guys when you get the iPhone from Maxis:
1. Does it come with the SIM eject tool included? 2. Do we need to charge the iPhone unit for 8hrs the first time?

I got my set right on the day I registered a new iValue plan line. It was The Gardens Maxis Center at Mid Valley. I went to those 'smaller' centers and they told me I need to pay deposit, register for the line and wait 24 hrs for activation. Upon activation, ONLY I collect my iPhone. In other words, smaller Maxis centers DO NOT keep stock for iPhone, so they put it this way. They order it and send to you later. U need to get yr iPhone activated, so it's better to open the unit in front of Maxis iPhone helpdesk and activate it.

It's getting quite annoying. Is anyone facing the same problem? I'm not sure if its the line or the iPhone but i doubt its the line...because, recently a friend of mine just got an iphone too with maxis 3g. And the reception is really bad as well. It's messed up. Is anyone facing this problem as well?
...is there a solution?
Thank you.!

QUOTE(Phonzy @ Apr 20 2009, 05:56 PM) yeah i got my maxis iPhone from gardens midvalley and those maxis guys took a brand new phone out and did all the unlocking for me..should be legit. then i'm completely clueless. as the characteristics which you have just listed doesn't belong to an officially unlocked version. if i can narrow down the culprit, i can only assume that the maxis coverage in your area is feeble. throughout my entire encounter with maxis (using an officially unlocked iPhone 3g), i dare to say that those characteristics have never been a problem for me. but if i can recommend something, you might wanna turn off your 3G (via settings); your area is possibly a crossover between the region of a weak 3G and stronger EDGE/GPRS coverage.
