The last time I topped up, it took an hour before I could subscribe to UMI due to "insufficient" balance.

That day I Top up 50. 1st it say code invalid. Re key again. Took few second then said code been use..... My god. Check balance still not add 50. I thought the petrol station ppl remember the code and eat it lioa. Then I Key in another new 50. Again repeat said invalid. I was like feel get con for 100. Re key again said the code been used..... Cry. but after check balance show I Top up 100......

If you guys want to subscribe to any packages, do so in the morning cause in the evening after 7pm UM system always give problem due to system overload

Topping up via card or ticket also having problems after 7pm, due to system overload.

Best mode of Topup is via E reload. PM if you guys see me online, i can do it in an instant if you see me online.

But some time ago (about 2 weeks) during the day (around 3pm) in my office I reloaded and my balance was not topped up till after 10mins. so i guess its no only after 7pm... these guys should better find someway to optimise/expand their network.

My case above, where the top up took an hour to be effective, was done at 11am on a Saturday morning.

Why facepalming?!! You said in your earlier post that the issues occurred after 7pm.. i'm stating that i'm experiencing it even during the day you're facepalming? seriously? doh.gif Who fault is it if they're using "old system"? Didn't/couldn't they have expected consumer growth with all the packages they were offering?

Not only users affected, dealers that are using the System to do User registration and activation are also affected.

Its not easy to migrate from an smaller capacity system to a bigger capacity system.

It cost lots of money and down time, it also needs backup to maintain the whole system, not like for example , if your home pc is laggy, go LYP buy a higher specs setup, install OS then you are good to go. Not so simple to do system upgrade for telcos. icon_idea.gif

What i can advice is if you need to do package subscription or reload topup, pls do it during those hours that is not being used by the majority of the users , when is the time to do it, you have to use your own creativity, even postpaid customers have their line barred after pymt, because the system "thinks" that they have not paid !!!!

Let me share my experience with um. I subscribed the post paid broadband package and signed up for auto debit via credit card on the same day.

UM did not charge my credit card for first 3 months but barred my line. I went to the service center for few times but was informed no payment required as it is under auto debit. I even wrote a few emails to its customer service but all no reply.

With all frustration I went back to the service center after my line was barred for 2 weeks. The staff asked me to pay cash to update the 3 months subscription. I did it and my line was free up. Later in the same month when I received my credit card statement I noticed that UM charged me a 3-month subscription fee.

With all payments made plus 3 months advance payment, I still received sms asking for payment on arrears.

So moral of story, stay away from UM if you can.

honestly umobile use to be a great telco ,now its just as bad the other,
i cant even use my internet around my house even wechat cant be send despite showing full bar,i thought it was momentary but including this month its been 4 month straight worse service

in the end im regretting buying the mifi,using my main phone line.

my word of advice future owner please stay away from umobile until they work this out.

ps: if ur staying in klang abort umobile or u will feel like throwing ur fone
