i use blackberry. most of my contacts are android and rely heavily on whatsapp. quite a number happy with sms onli.

rite now, i'm with maxis. but planning to go for either umobile or digi. in kuantan, both are having good coverage based on my students' feedback.

usually i make calls less than 40mins per month and hundreds of sms (200-250). cant decide with this two: digi smart plan http://www.digi.com.my/prepaid/plan_prepaid_smartplan.do or UMI from umobile. http://www.u.com.my/prepaid/unlimited-mobile-internet-plan

Currently UM3G from 7pm onwards till midnite really sucks at some locations [high traffic locations]

As we knoe data connection fr 7pm onwards is almost usless, it might be a good idea to switch/lock our fon to 2G Only [roaming on Maxis] so that calls wont be interrupted.

Not only data connection is bad, CRM and E reload/ manual topup via coupons, package subscription and renewal [Umobile] during these period sucks too. I believe UM gonna get Fined kawkaw by SKMM soon. I advice ppl to do those stuff during off peak period. Morning time is best.

is our call affected as well? i mean cant call out or ppl call in our number? or it is just data conection affected?
if switch to maxis 2g, still can data connection or not?

Data/voice is affected when on UM3G but once managed to log onto Maxis 2G , data cannot work BUT voice is uninterrupted.

No more missed calls.

Can't match u mobile. For whatsapp or lowyat forum ok la.
The 88 sen dialy data plan is what u mobile is lacking but the down side for tunetalk is line active/validity period is standard unlike u mobile 3x validity period.
The solution to enjoy good features from both telcos is to buy a dual sim, dual standby android phone.

Hi all,

I just subscribed to UMI28. Everything's great except for SMS. I find that certain numbers such as 26XXX, 2XXXX I cannot SMS to. SMS to regular numbers 012, 013, 014 etc no problem. Just the 5 digits ones always displayed as FAIL.

Anybody has this problem before? I am using Samsung S3 btw.

u mobile speed... unreliable.. a lot of complains nowadays..

even before porting, i also experienced slow dl + ul speed at around 0.5mbps dl and nearly 0.2mbps for ul speed..
testing with the same app with tunetalk after porting, tunetalk gives me 1mbps++ for both dl and up, consistently so far.. smile.gif

I'm thinking of buying either the UMI18 or UMI28 plan. May I know what is the difference in speed before and after hitting the "high speed quota"?

On another question, if I have a dual sim phone, and one sim is Hotlink, so can I use the other SIM for UMI?

Currently i'm on U28. Does umobile international roaming still charge RM300 after 3months usage coz previously on Digi after 3months usage they dun charge any.

Please advise and the RM300 refundable upon termination of service in de future?

Thanks

Yah, RM300 deposit, can either leave with them or get it back at service center.
