Anyway got nothing with all the toys you give him is enough or not. All hamsters will try their very best to escape. The best is to always make sure the lid is closed when no one is around. Feeling really stupid that I left the water bottle there. Should have removed it for the night. The lid was loose because of the hanger.
Impossible to stay safe; there are a gazzilion cats walking around  .We tried looking for a corpse or anything that points to the hamster's demise but up to now we found nothing. I've read up that hamsters can go missing for several days, even go back home. Tonight must find again... Blurjoey, is puffie and pillow moms-to-be yet? |

Gestation period for Syrians is 15-17 days, now is already almost 1 month already, don't think they will produce anything this time. They looks like pregnant as they really gain weight within a week and more weight the 2nd week, but nothing is out. Just worried they can't deliver the babies and the contents reabsorb back to their body although its not harmful for them, but no babies... Not a single sound, not a single piece of food was taken... the food and water lay around for so long liao but no hamster. Really gone already |

sophiera, what a bummer for you! have you tried looking at the places you couldn't imagine she'll be in? like under the refrigerator,cupboard etc...etc...? it reminds me of what happened to one of my fav hammie. he escaped behind the closet and it was so very dusty behind there and he didn't survive. i assume he would have inhaled too much dust. thoughts on tiny. keep us updated.
