So cute hamsters...my heart is melting. But most wait for Chinese New year to pass before can get another.
Dry smoothie? That's great! come to think of it I didn't manage to finish the smoothie before my hamster died though |

Muffin is so photogenic
Even though all hamsters share 98% of genes...some somehow look better for photos than others. |

I've obtained my new hamster.
Her name is Tiny, because she is seriously tiny. She is the size of a mouse even though the colouring is definately syrian. She's even smaller than bean. When bean sat in the bowl you can't really see the contents. When Tiny sat in there, you definately can see the stuff. And she is about 3 months old. I think I have the smallest syrian among the folks here She ate the bedding when I first put her in |

Quite difficult to check of Tiny because when we try to scoop her up, she jumped out of our hands
When I try to lure her, the moment she sniff human hand run away again. |

By the way, a stretching and yawning hamster is a good sign, right? Tiny yawns and stretches a lot.
Yeah, tiny is an adorable little bundle. She likes to squeeze into narrow areas...and because she looks so small and soft it'll make anyone squeal. Can't really touch her, when I try to do it while eating she practically flattened herself to avoid my finger. This post has been edited by Sophiera: Feb 21 2009, 01:10 AM |

Breeder calect absorbs pee like a sponge, so I don't use toilet sand.

Wow, dangerous toys are dangerous
beware of anything that a hamster can crawl under, anything that is hollow. Good thing you managed to find your hamster...imagine if he stuck there for a long time. Sure kapui This post has been edited by Sophiera: Feb 23 2009, 03:19 PM |

Sweet potato leaves, can they be fed to hamsters? I know the tuber can be fed, so I guess the leaves are safe too.
