Putting bubble gum on clothing is not an accident but it is being done on purpose, it is nothing but uneducated and  uncivilized . To compare purposely disposing bubble gum on a t-shirt and car accident is totally irreverent. That is why they call it a car ACCIDENT

Of course there is risk in running a business, but why purposely dispose off bubble gum on a brand new t-shirt ? I rather someone stole it off, at least the thief can still wear the t-shirt or sell it or put it to good use. but spoiling a new t-shirt ... lol  doh.gif

There's still a way to fix the bubble gum on shirt thing. Remember the ice method? smile.gif

I was just pulling your legs on the consumer power part, chill bro. Take it easy.

I would say that paying over the odds to someone I know is still better than paying over the odds to some scalper from eBay.

And since TM has a number of sold out items and rarer limited editions I'd prefer to keep my options open. It costs me nothing to be civil, polite and nice to them. Their shop, their rules - so when I masuk I try to keep my hands to myself anyways.

It look like i am always on the retailer side. Yea, i am doing retail but when i go out to shop, i am a consumer too, you know. So basically, if you can understand the both side of retailer and consumer, you should be grateful that there is retail shop for you to go do your shopping and i bet you that all retailer is more than glad to have your support for them.
Retailer open shop to do business my friend, not charity. They will try to make every cents out of you. Whether they do charity or not, we don't know . lol  biggrin.gif

I wonder that the better treatments from GA was because those were the staffs instead of boss. After all bosses will definitely more protective of their products. smile.gif

eBay is using PayPal. PayPal has buyer's protection. So your money is guaranteed, if the product that you bought off eBay does not match that listed on the website. biggrin.gif

No you misunderstand me. I am not wary of making purchases over ebay or the internet. Never have been.
It is just more comforting for me to be 'fleeced' by someone I know instead of a faceless ID on the other end. Trivial yes.

Just to share my story.

I made an order from www.mybrick2u.com on 10/04/2011.

The order is Lego set 8043. That website state that the set is IN STOCK.

But then only I know after I call that “guy” he told me it is not IN STOCK then he need to PRE ORDER it.

Alhamdulillah (thanks god) I did not make any payment since I choose COD.

But I felt so disappointed because the delivery date keep on delay.

Please seller be honest…..

My favourite toy shop would be the one in Mid Valley (I can't recall the name of the shop), at the same floor with the food court, the prices for transformers are very cheap compared to the fews shops in Sungai Wang and Sunway Pyramid.

My all time favourite is definately FAMITOY in Sunway Giza, is totally DA BEST EVER, huge collection, friendly staff, good pricing. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Added on July 13, 2011, 7:50 amFor those who are looking for G1 Transformers Toys, do please try this link: www.mudah.com.my,
I've just recently bough my NEW G1 Transformers Sixshot in 100% good condition (no stickers were applied) at a very good price. The seller is also very friendly and helpful. smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

Today I experience lousy customer service from Gamers Arena (Sg Wang Plaza).

Last night I bought a Hobby Base display case (Large size) from Gamers Arena at RM85.00, but later found that the display case is too tall for my usage and decided to change for a medium size case during lunch time today.

Since the price for the medium size case is only RM48.00, I ask the shop assistant if I can exchange for the medium size display case together with other items that make up the total value of around RM85.00 (or if exceeding RM85.00 I willingly to pay the extra amount) as I expect them not to issue any cash refund of the amount differences (which I'm fine).

The shop assistant is friendly and helpful but apparently he has no decision making authority and need to call his boss. To my surprise, the "boss" named Paul rejected my request saying that it is their shop policy not to allow customer to exchange any item. The boss even questioned me for not measuring and get the correct size before I purchase (as if I enjoy coming back to the shop again for an exchange by wasting my time, effort and parking fee!)

It was never stated on their receipt that "no exchange/refund allowed" nor there is any signboard of reasonable size in their shop stating this policy. Finally, after some arguement the boss allowed me to exchange for the M size case but not allow for any refund of amount difference (RM37) or exchange other items of similar value.

Recently I have purchased some tool set from Tamiya Undergroundz in One Utama but later found that it is not suitable for my usage. I returned it the next day unused and they allow me to exchange for other items of similar value (or top up the amount if the item exchanged exceed the original value). The receipt actually clearly indicates "no exchange/refund allowed after goods sold", so I just try my luck and to my surprise they willingly accept my request with a smile. This is what we called "customer service".

What a lousy customer service from Gamers Arena and I definately will not buy anything from them ever again!

Not to defend the shop or anything, but when buying such acrylic display cases, whether it's RM5 from Daiso or RM85 from a China company, the dimensions of the case are clearly stated on the box. Should you encounter any problems of fitting it in, it's entirely your fault and not the shop's. Whether the shop is nice enough to exchange it for you is entirely up to their discretion. They are under no legal obligation to do so, unless the dimensions are not revealed and there has been some misrepresentation on the seller's behalf.

Also, the clause "No exchange/refund allowed" on receipts carry no legal exemptions. It's not a valid clause as it's against consumer rights.

By the way, i think you seem to be having a lot of "bad luck" as you keep buying stuff that are unsuitable for your use. Be a smart consumer, and try to gather some information on the product before buying. It's less-hassle that way. wink.gif

Not really, i think the seller should change the product for the customer if the product is still new and haven't been used before . Majority shop change the product but not refund. Majority win. nod.gif
