I buy from TM and have no problem dealing with them.

why not try being a good customer if you want good service ?

^^ with more than 40% marked up price of an item, it is just elementary that someone would asks for discount.

Likewise, whenever I go GA, I never ask for discount, even I know their paints and display stand not the cheapest, cause I know their Gundam kits are.

Unlike certain shops, everything more expensive than the rest of the shops, so you might want to try to luck to get a better price by asking for discount.

And imagine they always give excuse to you like, "this is the last unit" reason for not giving discount. After you bought it, make a u-turn in a couple of hours later, the same item is being placed onto the same shelf, just ONE unit, to be sold again.

^ I have held their Gundam box, but never fully took out from the shelf, just pull out to look at the box art. Luckily auntie never ask me to "stop touching". Not sure if because I was carrying my dSLR everywhere I go, treatment was different? 

It works both ways really, behave like an arse, get treated like an arse.
I find that most people are friendly or will be more accomodating if you yourself put in some effort.

The real problem with TM for me is that their prices are at times very steep.
