QUOTE(davidlow7 @ Feb 3 2009, 10:11 AM) Hi Thanks I understand that it is for only participating merchant.. Let's say purchase a laptop from HP which offer 12-month ezpayment to Maybank CC but since my CC is only Maybank Petronas which is specialise on Petronas.. am I entitled on this ez-scheme as well or I need to get another normal CC from MayBank? Any Maybank cc(Visa & MC including co-brand cc,excluded Amex) are entitled to enjoy the ezy-pay scheme from participating merchant. U do not need to apply another normal cc from them.

As long as the shop you purchased from is the participating merchant of Maybank CC, you can opt for 0% installament programme. MBB Petronas also offers 0% installament programme.

Banks are only using their name for promoting their cards etc. For example, Maybank card gives 36 months installment maximum but most outlets limit to only 12 months. You have to check with the merchant how long the installment he can give and see which bank. And you dun need platinum or gold card to get the 'ezypay'...as long as its the same bank, any card also can.

For increase CL ... normally you have to fill in the form and state the amount you need right ? Let say my current CL is RM5k. I put there RM10k Is the bank going to reject straight if amount too high ? Or is the bank going to increase lower amount automatically ?

Citibank and HSBC are exceptional in privileges. Other banks...including Maybank, RHB, etc are pretty much similar to DA. No good privileges...if got also it costs more than buying from certain shops

@J'Daniel, Citibank rejects it outright - they don't re-assess and give u a lower increase of CL. Am not sure about the other banks.
@Aeon_Clock, Er.. Citibank - exceptional in privileges? Like what?!
