I got my Amex plat cc by invitation & free AF for 1st year from MBB.
Before I accept I ask about the following years AF, the CS told be can be waived if the cc active in usage.
Hmmm...... How can they told different info to customers.
If really cant waive I will cancel this cc coz feel being cheated.

it's common thing among CS.

CS A tell is 1.
CS B tell is 2.
CS C tell is 1.

then it's confirm 1 is correct.

so u try to call 2 times see whether u will get the same answer o not... only call 3rd time if 1st 2 call got different answer.

so, no need to apply for membership also can buy installment. actually wanna apply but need 2 weeks for approval. need it instantly bcoz gonna go already this friday.

Ya, I just got their credit card, what is the definition of retail purchases? including restaurant, bookstore?

Retail purchases are all normal transactions charged to your credit card excluding 0% installament plan, cash advance and balance transfer.

It also includes bill payment and auto debit.

i'll call back to check again, coz the cs told me that amex will NOT waive Annual Fee for Plat card. They still haven't send the longines redemption letter yet or else i'm going to cancel it. Haha.
Quite hefty usage on this amex card and the cs knew it too but he say no exception. I think you better check it out with them.

i juz made a simple calculation, i realize Balance transfer can save a lot (40-60%) for those who unable to pay their outstanding in full. but my initial thought was that the interest for BT is calculated based on remaining balance each month but I was informed that the interest rate is fixed times your outstanding balance and divided by how many month you want to settle the balance.

I just received HLB card. still thinking whether want to activate and keep the card or to cancel. I heard HLB has poor CS. But they just give me a very low limit and maybe good for online purchase.

do u recevied any credit rebate?

Their cash rebate not so good lah, Many condition such as,

1. Min purchase is RM50.
2. Only the first RM50 will be rebate
3. Need at least 5 x min RM50 transaction per month
4. need to SMS,
5. bla bla,

not sure..I heard they will give RM 20 upon card activation and after 2 swipe within 45 days of activation. This agent told me that this card is free for life provided that I make 2 transactions within 45 days. but nothing mention in the letter about annual fee waiver. that is why, I still thinking whether to accept the card. but the limit is low and nice for online transaction

Thanks for the info.
As I know the only AF cant be waived is the Amex Plat charge card.
If they dun waived the 2nd year AF for our Amex plat cc, just cancel it.
No point we spend a lot but still they charge us AF rite?????

If annual fee cannot waive, is it can cancel the CC without pay the AF?
