That only applies if you already have other bank's card. Also if I remember correctly, the sales would usher you to the EPF kiosk machine located there and ask you to print out your own EPF statement for verification.
*
they just need to keep a copy of your epf. The thing they really need are just photocopy of your credit card over 18 months or 1 year with CL 6k and above.

I've tried applying over there and managed to get my card in 1 and half hour.

when u r Platinum user, you wont bother about the annual already.  if im not wrong, there are some Platinium's annual fee is un-waiveable...
*
not the problem of bothering to pay the annual fee, what i mean is is rhb visa plat card annual fee is waiveable or not coz it come with a priorty pass. Most of my card are free except amex and it come with a prestige plat card ( reason for unwaiveable annual fee ) .

anyone here using maybankard platinum cards which have the annual fee waived???(excluding the petronas visa platinum)
*
I'm using MBB visa plat, you can get annual fee waived by calling them once they billed the fee in your statement. Afaik that work for every bank generic plat card except amex plat.
The one i can't sure is some bank plat card like Rhb which come with a priorty pass can get annual fee waived thru a phone call or not. No answer to this quest yet.

I was wondering would it be easier for me to apply for another bank's platinum card if i have a platinum card for a year? even though the platinum card holder criteria for both banks r different?? unsure.gif  unsure.gif
for prompt card application , most bank accept at minimum 15k CL to qualify for their plat card except few like HSBC 30k , MBB 25k , CITI 20k.. currently the highest CL requirement is HSBC card AFAIK. very normal to get plat card nowadays.

yeah, 40k CL will let you get hold any plat card from any bank but not Amex Plat. Highest requirement hsbc only need 30k. Hsbc amanah plat need 20k .

if monthly income 3k plus can get credit to rm25k ?
*
i don't think you can get 25k limit with 3k plus income. That limit is minimum limit when citi or mbb is issuing a plat card. The income requirement is around 100k to 120k for both bank.

Which bank cc installment plan does not deduct the total from your credit limit ?

CIMB does that to me and Im suffering of not enough credit limit lol
*
i remember once Rhb cc have extra 50% of your limit for instalment, like if you have 10k CL , then will have extra 5k for instalment, but not sure whether they still practice this or not. Apart from this, i think all bank hold the total amount and release it month by month.

@MilesAndMore,
I've enough CC's.  Am thinking, perhaps I should move from my Amex Platinum to Amex Gold for next year - don't want to be paying the additional RM800 - this year was fine since I managed to get the watch and well the rest of the other benefits; which honestly isn't too much.

Thing is - I have accumulated close to 350k points on my Amex card - if I make a switch will I lose all the points or will they be transferred?!  Anyone can help me?
*
hey tinky,
Mbb charged you for the annual fee already? I've exceeded the 20k usage but still not yet receive the redemption letter for the longines watch. It's been around 1 month since i hit the limit. You redeem the watch in which shop?

Tinky ,

so far i still dont see MBB charging me for Annual Fee...
i've called up the CS about the redemption letter for Longines watch and they told me that usually will send it after 6 months but since i already hit 20k in one month then they will specially request their officer to send it earlier than scheduled time.

Tera ,
How about yours ? i think you're one of the earliest to hit 20k , gotta watch ady ?

haha , they know what will happen if they send the redemption letter before charging you annual fee...

i've successfully waived my visa gold and platinum last month with a phone call , double checked with the CS and she told me would not touch my treatpoints for it.. just to be sure as i've heard some of the forumers say that MBB agreed to waived it but in fact using up their points for the waiver..

so far i dont have problem with their latest promo and the only bad experience was their CS effectiveness and slow response to our demand.
But AMEX CS is way better than MBB , maybe i am the lucky one ? hmm.gif

If we close our credit card but we have overpaid, is it possible for us to get back the remaining balance?
*
yes, the bank will issue you a cheque for the remaining balance. Usually you will get the cheque in 1 month period after the bank confirmed your account closure.

citi does offer second card after 1 year ( usually ) , and usual practice is they will automatically send you the card. If not you can try to apply from them, it's seperate limit . Once a cc agent told me that if i use 2 citi cc to prompt apply a new card, the bank will give the total combined limit or higher. Not sure as i didn't apply from him.

if your card exceed limit , the merchant of the fitness centre will fail to auto debit the charges , will not effect your credit rating in bank.

Called up Amex Cs and ask for annual fee waiver, but the request is declined. Amex plat cc and charge card annual fee will not be waived ( as the cs claim ). But one funny thing is in my statement is Rm 66.66 instead of Rm 800 for the annual fee. hmm.gif

Hi Reventon,
I got my Amex plat cc by invitation & free AF for 1st year from MBB.
Before I accept I ask about the following years AF, the CS told be can be waived if the cc active in usage.
Hmmm...... How can they told different info to customers.
If really cant waive I will cancel this cc coz feel being cheated. mad.gif
*
i'll call back to check again, coz the cs told me that amex will NOT waive Annual Fee for Plat card. They still haven't send the longines redemption letter yet or else i'm going to cancel it. Haha.
Quite hefty usage on this amex card and the cs knew it too but he say no exception. I think you better check it out with them.
