It was straight forward for me. just like ordering from dell, but tracking depends on which shipping method you choose.

Let's just say that if you plan on RMA-ing anything, it'll be a hassle. However, Xoticpc's email support is prompt and good. Sager's technical support however, I had to wait a couple of days to even get a short response.

I've only got ONE problem with my NP8660, keyboard ghosting. Most games play well with the laptop's keyboard, however, a game like DMC 4 and other games which requires you to simultaneously press several key buttons will become downright annoying/unplayable to me.

The BIOS isn't the problem. The keyboard matrices is.

wow.
thanks for the review. well that doesnt seem to be a problem for me then. as i dont play DMC 4 or any other games that require the key board. well if required. can go get a keyboard too.

im afraid of major problems only that might just change my mind. anyone has experienced anything so far?

wuhuu!! good luck with your GTX 280M!! man, it will be a blast to have that card~~ i wonder how well it would perform lolz!! your system will be a beast dude!! huahahahahhaa!!!

about the HDD~~~

its great to have a 7200RPM HD only the cost it will be the heat~~ some 320GB 7200RPM, have a very bad heat consumption therefore your notebook will get warm alot.
however a good brand HDD is the solution, WD to me, is the best brand to put out some heat around the HDD.... but nevertheless very fast loading for gaming and multitasking application!! biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

whereas a 500GB 5400RPM would have less heat and power consumption~~

as for the speed differences; some conclude that a 500GB 5400RPM HDD have the same speed as the 320GB 7200RPM because of 500GB at 5400RPM, when combined with the increased areal density on each platter, ends up performing at least on par with the 320GB 7200RPM drive. Since the higher capacity also contribute to the speed... but 320GB/7200 rpm is a little bit faster.

If you will notice it in real life is another story. During normal use it will be very hard to notice the differences in speed actually but during heavy multi tasking it will be possible to notice a whole lot different performance between these two speed and the HDD capacity..

now if you argue on the matter of either HDD or SSD that is a whole different story~~~ anyone are getting the SSD for their sager? i thought of getting one~~ lolzzz

I'll second WD hdd, be it Scorpio Black or Scorpio Blue. No comment on speed though, moving from 5400RPM to 7200RPM I honestly didn't notice any change in speed but I've not done any benchmark.

There's this length of time, which if you are not happy with your purchased, you can return things that you buy with a full refund. The duration of time vary from company to company though.

Stand for Return Materials Authorization.

There is a difference between 7200rpm and 5400 rpm bcos I experience it myself. Last time my laptop is 5400 rpm and now mine is 7200 rpm (not Sager). You may able to see the loading of games is more faster, copy and paste 10 avi files of 2 GBs each from A to B is shorten by 30% at least, extracting huge files takes shorter period.

My cousin who just bought a Sager with 7200rpm HDD coupled with 4GB of Turbo memory and he place the exe file into the turbo cache. With that, the speed is even more noticeable when loading GTA4.exe, it takes only 8-10 secs. (From double clicking the icon from the desktop to fully payable state in the game) OMG!

I can't really answer that. Have only used the USD 223 one, which i think is USPS. Either method won't take more than a week to arrive.

but shipping cost is a killer though, I would spend the extra cash on better parts and wait a few days more for the laptop to arrive tongue.gif
