Already reordered mine. Due to the delay I got extra money from CNY salary and this month, I've got some beefing up to do on my system.
Try the Notepal U3 if you're unsure what to choose for cooler; you can replace the fans wherever you want. http://www.coolermaster-usa.com/product.php?product_id=3007 Or just read this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/accessorie...yers-guide.html Speaking about coolers, I'm probably going to mod my Sager and the CryoLX I have with this: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « This post has been edited by This is a Lamp: Feb 10 2011, 09:20 PM |

Hi, I'm looking for performance laptop for heavy photoshop/maya stuff. And I see a lot of recommendation about Sager. I've nv heard of it until recently.
So is Sager really the best choice? Anyone have bad experience with sager? What about the warranty in malaysia? If I order from mucro, how long does it usually takes to wait? |

QUOTE(kpchoo29 @ Feb 13 2011, 02:45 PM) Hi, I'm looking for performance laptop for heavy photoshop/maya stuff. And I see a lot of recommendation about Sager. I've nv heard of it until recently. yeah! sager is value for your buck. you pay for what you get. im a new user myself, but based on what i read so far, it seems that sager is built to last. warranty wise, you'll have to send it back to sager us for major repairs. So is Sager really the best choice? Anyone have bad experience with sager? What about the warranty in malaysia? If I order from mucro, how long does it usually takes to wait? but if you buy from mucro, they might only do minor repairs for you. most sager models currently are on hold due to the intel chipset problem. shipping is now mid march apparently. i got mine from xoticpc |

QUOTE(kpchoo29 @ Feb 14 2011, 03:20 PM) Do i need to pay for shipping fee to send b US for warranty? For warranties, yes you need to pay shipping...which is why most Malaysians are reluctant to get Sager (because we like cheap things right?). However the cheaper alternative would be buying from MucroAsia, who are the closest Sager reseller to Malaysia.your words are so tempting So I can assume that I dont need to worry about warranty that much? And, what you get is the top of the line laptop, with performance written on it with the best cooling system in a laptop around. Less than 5% of Sager users have problems with their laptop and have to send back for warranty, with the others having Sagers for more than 3 - 4 years without failing. I had mine for one year before selling, it was still going strong and looked almost brand new like day one from the box. Sager = tank. |
