Almost half the box was filled with padding, and everything was so tightly packed that I had to use apply force to get the laptop out of the box thumbup.gif

Manuals and drivers are provided in a seperate compartment.

The Laptop upon unboxing. Unlike other manufactuers who just supply a sheet of plastic to act as both a keyboard and screen protector, this Sager came with nicely cut plastic sheets(much like those we used to wrap our primary school text books with tongue.gif ) to cover everything including the back of the moniter. The plastic tapes holding the sheets in place are very easily removed

The entire body of the laptop is aluminium and spray painted black. It feels very solid and classy.

Sorry for the bad shots, still need the sifu's here to teach me how to take proper photographs notworthy.gif Laptop has a very minimalist look, and dosent spot things such as media buttons which is quite a shame. It does however, stop those buttons getting in the way during a game

What I found most outstanding on this laptop save it's specs is the cooling system. It only uses a single fan and a very large copper based heatsink right at the rear of the laptop. I played Crysis and Call Of Duty 4 on High , 4AA , 1920 x 1200 with no visible lag at all. And after 3 hours, the keyboard was only slightly warm which I atribute to my plams laugh.gif The bottom of the laptop was still cool (as in, not warm to the touch) and the only hot part was where the fan is located, and the surface directly behind the laptop where all the hot air was going. I would advise against putting anything behind this laptop when it's running because tempretures get seriously high back there.

On idle, the single fan is barely audible and comparing it with my dell inspirion 6400, you won't even notice the Sager is booted and running

I guess most people will be curious about the price ? whistling.gif I purchased this laptop from xoticpc (click for more pictuers) and the total , including shipping is RM 6.1k wub.gif

Conclusion from www.notebookreview.com

Without a doubt, the NP8660 is an awesome all-around performer. This 15.4-inch gaming notebook is the fastest in its class for gaming performance, and is faster than many 17-inch gaming notebooks. I give the NP8660 my full recommendation for gamers looking for a suitable machine.

An inside view of the Sager. I opened mine to upgrade the RAM. cost me USD65 for another 4Gb DDR3 [2x 2Gb DDR3 sticks]. And doing this dosen't even void your warranty rclxms.gif
Easiest laptop I've taken apart. Only needed to unscrew the back plate and wa lah! All the components become assessable. Just like opening the side panel of a desktop.

Yeap, adapter can be used in Malaysia. On the website they allow you to choose which adapter suits you. And 6.1k for everything in the box and getting it to your house rclxms.gif
Warranty depends on the part. if your adapter kaputs, you'll just have to inform them and they'll send another out to you free of charge. If something goes wrong with the laptop itself u'll hv to send it back to them tho sad.gif

I guess it's just a risk we have to take about not having domestic warrenty support.

depends what kind of games. If graphic & CPU intensive games the batt only last about 30 minutes with full brightness and speakers.

but if you're just surfing the web via wifi and listening to mp3's , batt life is about 1:45 minutes - 2hours.

btw : if anyone's interested I could ask xoticpc for a better price (or bulk order) since i've been dealing with them for quite some time

corad, could u ask them more about the warranty. since 6.1k is very tempting price with superb specs, we consider about warranty also. since i read on their webs it comes with 3 years warranty. by them or sager? and if got problem here, what is the procedure? sending to them back or claim by our own?
