Is it risky owning a Sager? I mean its a wonderful computer, looks great, wonderfully built and extremely customizable....but, paying $300-$500 on postage, and you also end up paying $100 for postage insurance.
Have any of you had to send your Sagers back to the States for repair?
Taken directly from Sager website:

Sager will pay for UPS three-day shipping (or ground shipping for addresses near Los Angeles, California) both ways for returned products. THIS APPLIES TO END USERS IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ONLY (EXCLUDING PUERTO RICO, ALASKA, HAWAII, AND U.S. POSSESSIONS AND TERRITORIES). OTHERWISE, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHIPPING THE PRODUCT TO OUR REPAIR FACILITY AND WE WILL SHIP THE PRODUCT BACK TO YOU FREIGHT COLLECT. SAGER IS ONLY ABLE TO PROVIDE RETURN SHIPPING TO THE END USER FOR THOSE END USERS WITH AN FPO/APO ADDRESS.
That means we're not covered. However, if you buy from Mucro the postage is lower, as you're just sending it to Singapore.
And, because Sagers are amazing and durable computers, they are very much NOT prone to damage or defects unless its the user's fault (haha). In my whole year owning this NP8690, I never felt that I needed to send the laptop for repairs because it just performed so well, well beyond my expectations.
If you think about it, anyone owning an electronic item is subjected to riskiness; the way you handle and take care items will determine if you need warranties.
