I was thinking of getting the NP8170-S1 from cubehub but was wondering if it was worth it to get it upgraded from GTX 470M to GTX 485M.. Will there be substantially differences in computing experience? Is there anything coming out in the near future that may compete with Sager's specifications? After all, the price isn't that cheap

Thanks for ur opinion. I was thinking of leaving the chip as the stock one which is this "2nd Generation Intel® Core™ i7-2630QM Processor ( 6MB L3 Cache, 2.00GHz)" and fork out the additional cash for the graphics.. Would that be an alright decision?

I don't know if u were referring to me when u commented that NP8150 was a better choice coz I was looking at the NP8170 and wanted to upgrade the GPU and not the CPU. Was just wondering if it was viable or not fully utilising the laptop and the graphics without the corresponding CPU upgrade.

Yeap, u're right that both can upgrade its GPU. Was wondering whether the incremental performance for the CPU upgrade vs the cost was worth it
