Anyone tested the WD 1TB SATA III hardisk? how the performance?

I think that price is not for WD , is for Samsung F3 1TB . Will u go to Viewnet to get it ?

damn i just got 1 less than 2 weeks ago..now drop to <RM200

finally 1tb drive drops below 200, last year december i bought was around rm248 for f3.

last month i bought at 225

That's quite long. I've RMA-ed two WD disks so far and both took about 1 week or thereabouts.
I did it online though, via their website. Paid about RM30 via CC for express delivery. Quite convenient.

Why not send the HDD back to the dealer?

Wow,is that better to get a 1tb f3 or a 2tb samsung(Bought 1 few months ago with around RM250)?What is the price for 2tb Samsung?Or I just purchase the 1tb version for the time being instead of 2tb?

The Samsung 2tb only has 5400rpm thou i'm not sure it's F3 or F1.

Here's the benchmark from HD Tune.

as you can see, it's significantly slower than 1tb version.

try looking for model WD1002FAEX benchmark, that's the Caviar Black 64mb cache SataIII model.

If you want to compare the perfomance between Caviar Black 64mb cache 1tb and Samsung Spinpoint F3 1tb. it's still lose to samsung spinpoint f3.

the only HDD can wins over samsung spinpoint F3 performance is WD2001FASS Caviar Black 2TB. This HDD packs a punch in performance as well as in price. 299 USD. w00t

ofcourse it's a little bit slow.. atleast not like around 80-90MB/s.. like others..

I bought WD green 2TB WD20EADS, will post picture once i shift to a new room. current room sucks with lousy housemate and internet line ... 384kbps still they say they didnt download stuff, but the router light is blinking

I wonder why, my 1st 1TB F3 can get max 145MB/sec
My 2nd 1 always maxed out at 135MB/sec only....weird

But luckily avg is nearly the same
