Durability of the HDD will very much depends on how you use it, and also the manufacturing process, some people receive bad product, some only notice it after sometimes of using it, that's why they give period time of warranty. Use a good airflow fan to cool it, most basic way to give it a longer life-time.
I didn't see any people complain about Samsung, try to use the search function to search for "samsung warranty" if you are very sensitive to it.

the only one brand i dunno where to send is HitachiIBM

using F3 now. much quiet, less heat (long hour unless full load), speed wise... didn't feel any different from my current seagate 32mb.

check ur bios, if +12v lower than 12v consider overload.

try unplug hdd check again, if still under 12v possible PSU under power.

Hmm.... just a couple of mb really, not much.
Can be disabled? hmm.gif

Non-OS drive I suppose its for storage.
In that case, speed isn't much of an issue actually.

Its better you pick a cheaper 32mb cache drive instead.
Save a few bucks go starbucks. tongue.gif

No difference, torrenting is still limited by your speed of your internet biggrin.gif

eh.. not speed of dl...

i thought bigger cache, can make more buffer so data will not write in so often n make hdd gone faster.

I wonder why, my 1st 1TB F3 can get max 145MB/sec
My 2nd 1 always maxed out at 135MB/sec only....weird

But luckily avg is nearly the same
*
1st = SATA1
2nd= SATA2

you plug like that?

try

1st=SATA1
2nd=SATA4
