QUOTE(wildwestgoh @ May 13 2010, 04:23 PM) Durability of the HDD will very much depends on how you use it, and also the manufacturing process, some people receive bad product, some only notice it after sometimes of using it, that's why they give period time of warranty. Use a good airflow fan to cool it, most basic way to give it a longer life-time. the only one brand i dunno where to send is HitachiIBMI didn't see any people complain about Samsung, try to use the search function to search for "samsung warranty" if you are very sensitive to it. |

using F3 now. much quiet, less heat (long hour unless full load), speed wise... didn't feel any different from my current seagate 32mb.

QUOTE(SSJBen @ Jun 21 2010, 12:45 AM) Hmm.... just a couple of mb really, not much. juz used for torrent dl... bigger cache no so offen write in gua.. hahaCan be disabled? Added on June 21, 2010, 12:46 am Non-OS drive I suppose its for storage. In that case, speed isn't much of an issue actually. Its better you pick a cheaper 32mb cache drive instead. Save a few bucks go starbucks. |
