any idea what type of prime lens D60 can use?
with AF-S
*
some of the popular prime lens with AF-S

AF-S Micro Nikkor 60mm F2.8G ED
AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105mm F2.8G IF-ED
Sigma 50mm F1.4 EX DG HSM
Sigma 30mm F1.4 EX DG HSM

refer to the 1st post of this thread for more compatible prime lens with AFS/HSM, orenzai made a comprehensive list there.

Nikon seems to be quite slow in coming out with AF-S primes. I'm guessing it is b'cos or pricing.
Anyway..... with Canon having 2 low end models (1000D + 450D) and Nikon just launching a D90 an upgraded D60 might be on its way soon (hopefully with AF-motor built in).

the speed shouldnt be lower than built in flash gua..but i have heard that the sb400 is not that powerful... anyway, depends on what type of photographer are you and what you shoot more... ask yourself:
- do you shoot wildlife and outdoor more? then get the tele lens
- do you shoot indoors and always do not have enough light? the get the flash smile.gif

Hey guys, is RM1400 a good price for a second hand Nikon D40 kit? It still has a few months of warranty left, and the shutter count is around 2K+.

I'm very new to photography so I'd like to try D40 first before upgrading to better cameras biggrin.gif

If the background didn't over, the clown and the kid will under.
I didn't use fill in flash that's the reason. I'd opt for correct exposure on the clown and kid blush.gif

yeah, it is part of the nikon malaysia deal for arts uni in malaysia.
they have this offer for my uni for the first 5 weeks of a new semester. for those who remember, i did 'promote' it approximately half year ago.

anyway, KTCY
nice photo you have there. i dont find the exposure to be 'wrong'
what i find it interesting is the fact that the clown and the kid were like in a world of their own.
the whole place looked boring, with the people at the back doing nothing but day dreaming rotting.
but for these 2 people, they are enjoying themselves.
the kid's expression says a lot and the action of the clown compliment it.

it is a nice photo in my opinion.
