does the flare happens with all UV filters or just higher chances of catching flares on cheapo filters? I have a HOYA Pro1 Digital UV filter and yet to experience flare with it.

QUOTE(shinrei @ Oct 11 2008, 08:51 AM) ya lo... i read ken recomended this 18-200. this lens is for focus or what? heheeheh... if u r asking if this lens autofocus with d40/x/60, then yes since it is AF-S lens. by all means, this is not a perfect lens but a very convenient one, that's why this of often known as a traveller's lens. It is a bit soft on the long end but a bit of PP would fix that. The VR really works. I have this with my D40 and I am one happy owner.

QUOTE(joyyy @ Jan 15 2009, 10:26 PM) The first one can only be used for cropped sensors while the second one can be used for both sensors? please don't just go guessing and give wrong info. As long as it is a DX lens, it can only be used on cropped sensors. Uncle google is always around The correct model would be Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G ED II AF-S DX. No significant difference compared to the first version. Review available here: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/18-55-ii.htmThis post has been edited by edministrator: Jan 15 2009, 11:26 PM

QUOTE(den @ Jan 15 2009, 10:30 PM) any idea how much the price difference is? also from your clarification, the second one should be better than the first one? if you really want to acquire this lens, get the latest with VR (Vibration Reduction). QUOTE(gr44 @ Jan 16 2009, 07:18 PM) what do u mean change the shutter?it will reset back to 0 ? it does not mean reset the shutter count. it simply means u need to replace a new shutter (camera parts). Added on January 16, 2009, 8:08 pmQUOTE(viruz019 @ Jan 16 2009, 07:55 PM) good evening to all Nikon user =D..i wanna ask some question..im planing to get a DSLR camera soon, and im thinking between the Sony a200 and the Nikon D60..I have tested both in real life and i simply like both..so wanna ask opinion from both side and see which one suits me more.. im jz a beginner hu loves picture of scenery and close up pics..and im planing to get a dslr to take pic of tose..is nikon better than sony in these field? anyting i shud noe about nikon before gettin it? Basically the only thing u need to be aware of is that D60 does not have built in body motor, so it will not be able to autofocus (only manual possible) with older lenses such as AiS and AF-D series, only with the latest AF-S. Kit lens of Sony and Nikon would be able to capture scenery and limited close up (macro). Both Nikon and Sony can deliver, it is up to user preference.
