if not mistaken all have pcb..just hoping that as this is the new model, they should improve that.

Hi,i wanted to buy ceiling fans for a new house(Living room,MB,small rooms and dining hall).
Need some enlightments and recommendations.Im not going for the design,just need a decent fan that reliable.

1)AC vs DC
2)4 blades vs 5
3)Recommended fans

And i saw some posts recommending nodoka,sensa,DC4 and Z series...what is the features & advantages of this models?

1. DC quieter, power saving. Useful for bedrooms.
2. Don’t think much difference. Deka 5 blade way noisier than Panasonic 4 blade. Both move similar air just Deka is noisy doing it.
3. Panasonic/KDK. Aeratron!

Personal experience.. Deka is cheap.. and noisy.
Panasonic entry level remote model… cost bit more than Deka, significantly quieter than Deka. My own house won’t ever use Deka anymore.

Aeratron - before I bought this fan I was scolding why fan cost as much as air con. But after using it, honestly it’s worth every ringgit. It is very quiet, and can move a lot of air. I’ve never set it to max speed before, mostly 1/3 speed and it’s sufficient.

Looking for a fan for my laundry area, but the width is only 5ft. May I know if it's possible for me to fit a 40" fan there? Will it be too close to the wall?

The wind blown by it is really "tubular" like a light beam (for this model).

2. No diff, its LPPL (more blade slightly lower rpm) between 4 & 5
3. KDK Sensa 4 for bedroom, living room either Sensa 4 or Vtouch Jr, small room just take the remote fan about RM320 range from KDK.
3.1 Don't bother saving the few bucks on Pana

3.3 Forget anything sounds like DIKU

BTW I'm looking for Bayu 4 ceiling fan, and noticed that currently the colours available are only black or white.

I'm used to the previous grey/silver colour. So now looks likely I need to go with the black colour one. Just wondering, will it look weird like something is moving above your head if it's put in the bedroom and you are about to sleep? Coz the ceiling is white and a black fan is moving around it.

Just wondering, maybe existing users of black colour ceiling fan in bedrooms can share your experience

I bought one, didn't manage to use it due to lacklustre wind, sold "Lightly used with box" for half price because this particular model is lemon model.
Or in summary = "Regret"

If I had to pay myself for installation and uninstallation [from living room - MBR - storeroom] I already rugi more than the fan price itself

oh how bad is it ya? is it due to the low wind issue? and which model you get to replace it?

coz i've been using my bayu 4 for more than 15 years, so far working fine except need to change the pcb a couple of times. but it's an old model though so maybe the new ones are not so reliable anymore?

The main question is what is the purpose of the fan here? I think you are not going to sit there waiting for laundry, right? If you are more concern on humidity build-up that can cause mold then a ventilator fan is more appropriate. You would not fell much of air flow. It is not going to be windy in the room but you will fell fresh and breathable room.

oh ya forgot to elaborate a bit

my laundry area is already semi open concept, 1 side of it is facing outside with 5ft wall and grills on top. so it will not be so humid there.

the purpose of the fan will be:
1) cool down the place when need to do some manual laundry, washing etc. coz that area is with polycarbonate roof so will be a bit hot during day time.
2) help to dry the cloths during rainy days

Then a wall fan like ceo684 suggested would be recommended. The fan can be aimed directly if required. Ceiling fan would be just blowing hot air at the roof top to you only

Yeah I bought in 2018, installed in 2019 when i got keys, then really never used much as work in progress
Sold off in 2021 or 2022

I got the KDK equivalent Z-series (i think 2021 release) with the narrow stem cup and it has worked perfectly (tissue on table will get blown off at all speeds)

whereas the 2018 Bayu dunno what happen i put max speed also no effect to the tissue paper on table. can never blow off.

Wall fan, that KDK remote wall fan will be perfect, can be pointed at wherever and air movement is damn good due to the blade design.

I removed the cover of my KDK ceiling fan (K14y9) and the humming at speed 2 and 3 is gone. So it must be this fan cover that is making the buzzing noise. What can I do to dampen the sound ?i tried to put in some sponge tape but I can't put back the cover...

If you're using the old bayu, then you should change to the newer bayu. I got fed up replacing the capacitor and changed to the newer design with round cover. Haven't need to change the capacitor even after 4 years.
