QUOTE(UFO-ET @ Oct 7 2011, 01:26 PM) elevated highway for LDP is the ultimate solution to minimize traffic jam, not only Wawasan but entire Puchong. Many tends to ignore a lot of small little things which added up to be a big problem. This is how Puchong traffic ended up today. Ie: The existing interchange at IOI malls is not the original plan but has amended for some not valid reasons. Every project along LDP created one minor issue, which caused today traffic jam from Sunway Toll all the way to Bukit Hitam just less then 10 years. Even an old federal road "federal highway" has better planned than LDP.I dun see MPSJ can do much to ease the traffic, unless the gomen build a new link to Bandar Kinrara BK5B, is only 400m-500m away A small time developer "trinity" develops Zest at Kinrara can afford to build a ramp for it's residents, why can't SP Setia think of it? I am sure they can afford. Moreover, Wawasan residents were also their purchasers. If are they so inconsiderate, not taking care about their SW purchasers as well as their old customers? The traffic will definitely suffers by both side of residents. |

In fact, SP did study the ramp and their study reveal the distance is too short and hindered by the monsoon drain. U hearing those noise is mostly created by those traders and shop owners at the shop lots onli. I dont know see there is any issue but hopefully the bus station need to monitor closely.A small time developer "trinity" develops Zest at Kinrara can afford to build a ramp for it's residents, why can't SP Setia think of it? If you see the ramp proposed by the RAs, it's only bringing traffic out from Persiaran Wawasan to the U-turn back to Sunway. Dun see how this can help to ease the traffic coming from Sunway side too...A small time developer "trinity" develops Zest at Kinrara can afford to build a ramp for it's residents, why can't SP Setia think of it? Faster develop the lrt.. all govt's fault. Most drivers i see on the road are single drivers without occupants. Traffic consultants have always said that roads can never catch up with the number of cars rising on malaysian roads.

Probably this is sign of SPS going to sell their remaining shares to PNB and decided no point of building a ramp or whatsoever as afterall these project will be managed by the GLC firm.

Honestly dont understand why SPS so kedekut doesnt want to build additional ramp for SW..........they should look how smaller develper like Dijaya created a ramp to increase accesibility to Tropicana Mall.......and an addtional exit point ............ IMHO Tropicana city has done well............
relying on just one access ............... from wawasan somemore........ is dem risky especially for the retailers........... |

No worries..relying on just one access ............... from wawasan somemore........ is dem risky especially for the retailers........... access is not really a key factor to decide whether a shopping is "wong" or not, but the design, layout, tenant mix and management does matter. Look at Mid Valley bout 10 years ago, the access fr KL? UE3 Mall / Times Square / Phoenix Plaza - Great access, but how? |

1. SW has 2 access i.e. one from LDP (main entrance) and one from Persiaran Wawasan (for those coming from Taman Wawasan, Bdr Puteri, Kinrara, etc.), 3 exits i.e. 2 exits to LDP and one exit to Persiaran Wawasan.
2. SPS is only keeping the entertainment centre that will house TGV, Superstar Karaoke and Celebrity Fitness, but who knows maybe they will sell it int he future. 3. On why they did not build the ramp, the reason given in the press statement posted earlier was due to the monsoon drain in front of Jalan Bandar 1 and lack of space, but of course one can always argue on this. 4. I believe there will be another bridge to connect to the existing bridge across Persiaran Wawasan to LRT station (not the existing one connecting to Tesco). 5. Not exactly apple to apple comparison, but 1U also without any ingress/egress ramps right? Terrible traffic but that does not make it any less "wong". Added on October 11, 2011, 2:15 pmNew tenant.. Then it wont be as bad. Thought initially only got one access from Tmn Wawasan........that would be recipe for disaster...... btw exit at LDP meaning u gotta do u-turn before can go back to PJ/Kinrara? Any access from other side of LDP or gotta do u-turn? 2. No wonder the motivation isnt there............they sold everything n left small portions of SW for themselves..........btw the mall they r building in Klang is diff story yes? They r keeping the retail lots to themselves or they solded that as well? |

Well, it looks like both the LDP exits are located after the entry up to the elevated u-turn, so most likely it's for those going back to Bandar Puteri/ Putrajaya direction. To get to the u-turn, exit from Persiaran Wawasan.2. No wonder the motivation isnt there............they sold everything n left small portions of SW for themselves..........btw the mall they r building in Klang is diff story yes? They r keeping the retail lots to themselves or they solded that as well? 2. Probably, but as someone pointed out earlier, they cannot afford to fail this as this is their first big-scale commercial project and with the exposure to LDP users, it sure will be bad to see a "fail" SPS commercial project with all their upcoming mega commercials. The Setic City Mall is managed by them on JV basis, not sold IINM. This post has been edited by davkong: Oct 27 2011, 12:57 PM |

·The current roadworks which are in compliance with approved plans would proceed and be completed within the next two weeks; ·Upon completion of the works, roads would be open to traffic and the Certificate of Completion and Compliance issued to Phase 1 comprising of retail shops and offices to enable business operations to commence; ·To address residents’ concerns on the weaving of traffic at Persiaran Wawasan, the developer would initiate immediately a technical evaluation for a proposed dedicated flyover into the development of SetiaWalk; and ·If and when the authorities decide that it would be necessary for the dedicated flyover to be constructed, the developer would comply and do so. Finally, can anticipate CCC next month! ![]() ![]() ![]() |
