Ok, let me disclose the SECRET why govt taking over sp :
- Govt has no input into housing scheme, & despite many voices (youngsters) wailing abt unaffordable prices, it can't do anything cos dun have hdb. So taking over sp & other listed companies is the easy way to have its hands on the housing market & exert some influence. Agree we will see more affordable townships coming..
- Govt trying to raise more funds for itself. After all pnb is govt owned. The more companies it owns, the more $ gets into its pokets. Wait wait.. pnb's aims is nep so this might not be right. Pnb is owned by yayasan bumiputra so $ goes into this foundations funds. Hmm.. must b some other way govt getting the $..
- Politics. Few mths ago najib talked abt more bumi listings. Now after takeover sp is technically bumi owned. Transformasi berjaya !
Any other 'konspirasi' ? hahaa.. its a really controversial topic.

Faster develop the lrt.. all govt's fault. Most drivers i see on the road are single drivers without occupants. Traffic consultants have always said that roads can never catch up with the number of cars rising on malaysian roads.

QUOTE(davkong @ Apr 4 2012, 12:38 PM) The photos are all real except the last one which is from the brochure. This is referring to the Entertainment Mall right? I was wondering with SPS-Land Lease's muscle power in attracting the brand names to Setia City Mall, maybe they can bring some of these into SW as well (the mall). I know SW Leasing and SPS-Land Lease JV are mutually exclusive, but under the same mother company, the possibility is always there right? Added on April 4, 2012, 12:41 pmThe three brands that will be in the mall are TGV, Superstar Karaoke and Celebrity Fitness, you can call these big brands i guess. I think TGV alone will bring in substantial crowd to SW. If the foto is real, i'm terribly impressed. The green leafy surrounds .. tempting me to brave the jams & go there Sps' expression of confidence in puchong via bringing a more upmarkety concept thro setiawalk really elevated puchong a couple of notches up. Compared to existing retailers there, its refreshing. Its good they are bringing to puchong something more classy ala pj but the worry is whether puchong ppl themselves have the ability + willingness to splurge like damansara folks. Sometimes ppl wish for the sky but they don't have the capacity to fulfil their dreams. Are puchong folks as rich & urbane as pj people ? Retailing needs these type of customers.
