Hmmm...actually I have a link station pro duo....2 x 2TB HDD....currently close to 2TB worth of HD movies in MKV format...haven't had any issue trasferrig from laptop to Linkstation as well as playback on media player.
That is what I do too. Just use it as an external hardisk for storage. No problems transferring and playback of mkv files from my HTPC.

Consider those from Synology, compact and serves great as a mini server too.

That would be expensive.

After reading, found that Synology and HP Micro Server is a hot product. May I get some advice for using RAID 5?
With the Microserver, it supports RAID 0 and RAID 1 out of the box from the motherboard. For RAID 5, you need a separate hardware RAID card which is expensive or alternatively opt for the built in software RAID from the OS which is slower.

For HP Micro Server, if 1 HDD spoilt, just replace the HDD will do, right?
For RAID 1, yes.

How if the OS corrupt? How about motherboard spoilt? What should be the option?
With the HP Microserver, if OS corrupt, just reinstall or do an image backup of the OS. Your RAID array should be recognised. For motherboard faulty, you can opt for carepacks directly from HP which should cover extended warranty (if you want more than the default 1 year) for a bit more money. Just enquire HP about it. Their warranty is like Dell's and they will come to replace the motherboard under warranty.
Else, just go out and buy another Microserver since they are pretty cheap and install your hardisk / OS back and your data should still be intact.

For Micro Server, which OS is recommended?
Can it setup as 24 hr download bt? How about remote control?
Absolutely. The Microserver is a server after all albeit a low powered one. I run mine 24/7 on Windows Server R2 2008. Although I don't like BT, it should be possible too.
Some here have tried Windows 7 successfully. I believe if you want to run with remote control or as a media centre, that would be the way to go.

I not sure this is normal or not. I copy 1 folder to another folder between NAS. the speed average 1mb/s MAX 3mb/s ?????!!!!
NAS - Linkstation Pro Duo.
Can Synology or MicroServer do better then this ??
First off, if something is wrong with your switch or network connection on your PC/notebook, you would still be faced with transfer problems if you have a Synology or a Microserver.
What are you running? Wired or wireless? RAID 1 or RAID 0? 10/100 or Gigabit network?
I run 2 x 2TB on my Linkstation Pro DUO in RAID 0 on a Gigabit network connection. Average transfer from the Linkstation to my Acer 1410 laptop is 22MB/s for a 4GB file. Of course if your PC or notebook hardisk cannot sustain 22MB/s, then your transfer rates would be lower.
Transfers from my Microserver to my HTPC are around 115MB/s. Very close to the theoretical limit of the Gigabit connection (125MB/s).
