Thanks. After some research found out that most of the N type router is gigabit.
*
Dun be so sure, i have a 300mbps wireless router (type N) which only have 100mbps lan port.. i just found out recently when i try to trouble shoot on my home network.

Win 7 pro can be configure to be very light, and actually the neo amd is quite powerful too; so it wont give too much trouble i guess as long as you have enough memory.

Yes, full version. No slowdown. 4gb non-ECC rams. I can play full hd dxva videos on it. But of course, i added HD5450 on it. The cpu cannot handle HD videos.

My N basic can stream from nas to media player without any lag. So I guess it running at 200 Mbps.

Might be a little off-topic but is there a 6000 series ATI card that is able to meet the small power requirement of the Microserver?

Why not since the Microserver is like a normal PC / server? You can upgrade the memory (up to 8GB), hardisk space and have slots to include DVR card if required.

New ati chip should draw lesser power than previous gen. And the avivo video decoder should be much efficient as well. Take the cheapest one, should work for htpc and mini pci bracket included.

Actually u can, but u will need a suitable OS and software for the recording purpose. It should be limited by the amount of data that micro server can handle.

If not mistaken, just copy the whole html file to the web folder. That it.

you might want to consider buffalo linkstation Pro Duo too. You can compare review at http://www.smallnetbuilder.com

I got one open box to let go which already been integrated with pyload download manager.
