Hi
I got the air cond price quotations inclusive of installation of RM 130 (excluding aircon point of RM 75) from an electrical shop as follows:
Mitsubishi FF10 (non inverter) RM1,210
Panasonic C-9kkh (non inverter)RM 1,130
May I ask your opinion whether the prices are good and also between the two, which one is better? I was advised to pay a deposit of RM 100 by today to secure the above prices.

The Panasonic one is quite overpriced. Here in Sarawak it's RM950 including installation. Promo from Panasonic. You may want to try asking from a Panashop coz they are having a promotion currently.

I want to install 2 aircond in the living. The aircond piping and eletrical wiring to be conceal in the wall. The distance of the aircond to outside is 20 meters. I was quoted for RM 1200 for the installation. Is this the usual price ?

usually piping is free for first 10ft, more than that is like extra rm7-11 per ft.

Just a question, how long can aircond piping be? Forthe living room I don't like the outdoor compressor to be visible on the car porch so i thought i put it at the backyard instead. However i think the distance quite far away, so I was wondering whether thereare any limit for it.

The shorter the better. Cooling efficiency is reduced the longer the piping.

The shorter the better, the result is noticeable. It will be cooler and faster to get the desired temperature.

I too don't like to put the outdoor unit infront of the house. It cost the nice house design ugly and eye sore. Somemore can see those ugly piping.

I put the outdoor unit ontop middle of my home. It is a outside water tank area. Complete hideout from any outside view. I paid extra rm400 for the piping. The distance piping is still between the aircon spec which did state in the manual. Check the manual for max piping can extend.

The cost of doing conceal piping depend on the distance and also what type of aircond you install. Inverter type will cost more. I got quoted for 500 for 20meters piping and installation for 1 HP aircond.

They usually count by per feet. If you buy aircond the installation will be free for first 10 feet (no concealing). Maybe you can negotiate with the shop you buy for better price.

Samsung at 750
Panasonic at RM830
York at RM790

I think office use is considered Heavy duty as you'll be using around 10-12 hours everyday, so choose a more reliable one.

If you want cheap use it on places where it's not used often , guest room, extra room etc.
