Just come back from my electrical appliance survey in Cheras..Come accross the WORST electical shop in the WHOLE UNIVERSE!! One salesman in this shop is trying to do business as if his shop is the ONLY electrical shop on EARTH..Can you imagine NO DISCOUNTS (Even RM10 also dun hav),all at list price, even if I were to buy 1. Water heater+Installation, 2. Air-con+Installation, 3. Fridge..What a useless cheapo electrical shop!!!Worst of all, even i ask for 1 piece of paper to write down the price also not willing 2 give me..Wasted my time going in, might as well buy in supermarket, where the price is harga mati..

Wanna ask the sifu sifu here, my condo comes with concealed piping (both copper and also the pvc) from indoor to outdoor unit. However the location is not so nice and I wish to extend it to somewhere else. The air-con installer told me its not advisable to extending the piping as he will have to bridge the current pipe to a new pipe, so there's a chance that the gas will leak. Furthermore, it seems he is only able to extend it for a few more feet only. Is this true?

What's the price for York A/C nowadays? So far I manage to find 780 for 1HP, 1040 for 1.5HP and 1770 for 2.0HP. All are the G models without those Ionizer and Inverter thingy without installation.

If the aircon got problem usually I ask back the shop or the York Service ppl ah?

edit: sorry typo for 1.5HP. should be 1040, not 1440.

It is not advisable to extend the conceal piping. It is better to do new piping if you want to change location. York 1HP price can get for 749. If the aircond got problem straight go to York if still under warranty.

I bought 1HP(Acson), 1.5HP(York), 2HP(Acson), all for RM3800 include piping (not conceal).

Basically Acson and York are same, but Acson is cheaper a bit.

hi all,

I wanted to install air-con with conceal piping and electrical point. Which is better?
1. get the air-con guy to do up the piping separately. buy the air-con without installation; or
2. buy air-con with installation. Will they do the hacking?

does it make any difference?

Is best to ask the person you buying from if they do conceal. If they do maybe you can get better deal rather than
getting another person to do the conceal and installation.
