Daikin, 1 hp inverter, the one that uses the regular gas. It's the DVM series, which had something like that EcoNavi feature. The new GVM series does without EcoNavi, and is more expensive... seems like about RM 50 more. Paid RM 1150 for the Daikin, plus installation.

My Daikin GVM Inverter 2.0HP still have the sensor like Econavi. I still can set this setting on the remote controller.

Maybe I made a mistake, but I believe I saw a demo unit in a shop that was supposed to be the 1 HP GVM version. I could not see the sensor there. But I didn't check if it was the non-inverter version, so maybe that's the reason...

Intelligent Eye prevents energy wastage by using its infrared sensor to detect human movement in a room. When there is no movement, Intelligent Eye increases the temperature by 2degC to give energy savings. This reduces energy wastage if, for example, you forget to turn off the air conditioner.

Panasonic got this function too, even on non inverter. But I found it bad when sleeping, when I switch this function on, it raised the temperature and feel stuffy. My sleeping temperature usually 23 to 24. If it raised another 2c feel stuffy. I switch this function off. Maybe daikin can sense sleeping and still remain the original temperature.

I take it your room isn't too big and most of all well isolated? I guess I am the only one with an appliance energy meter here? This post has been edited by kadajawi: Mar 24 2013, 01:41 PM

I NEED TO GET NEW AIRCOND FER TWO ROOMS. 1 Room is 15ft by 20 ft. Another room is 30 by 30 ft. THE AIRCONS I LIKE SHUD HAVE STRONGEST FAN BLOWS! TOO SICK OF AIRCON FAN WHICH HAVE SLOW PROBLEMS. THE AIRCON I WANT SHUD BE EFFECTIVELY COLD. NOT INTERESTED IN OTHER FANCY FEATURES WITHOUT GETTING THE COLDNESS RIGHT IN THE FIRST PLACE. WHICH ONE TO RECOMMEND? Now we have lg art cool with internal wall piping. got water leak problem and not cold even at 18 degree. service so many times already by dream service. So must throw away these one and get new aircons.
