In my opinion is very hard to compare so..As both also product from Japan is just like comparing Toyota and Honda.

But for inverter unit there is slightly different between this two brand. Daikin Inverter can use refrigerant R22 while for Pana is using R410a. This will cause the installation cost higher and refrigerant R410a is more expensive.

If you are just replacing your existing unit from non-inverter to inverter unit without replacing copper piping than you can't choose panasonic.

Just for sharing, do correct me if im wrong.

Definately if you have budget then is much better go for inverter unit.
As for the piping if you are using Refrigerant R-22 type unit you no need replace the copper piping. You can try Daikin as is operating using R-22.

I guess electrolux is still not well known for air-cond product. Might have support and spare parts problem. Anyway thats only my though.

For your concern on the horse power is all depend your floor area. 1.5HP air-cond can cover about 280sq/feet while 2.5HP can cover up to 450sq/feet. This is also depend on where is your room location, quantity of window, window direction (evening sun light?) and etc. Feel free to share your floor plan so that all the LY member can give you an advise.

Very hard to judge by not cold. Is it the air coming out from the unit totally not cold at all? This maybe unit having problem.

OR the room was not cold enough? This might due to capacity install is under size or installation problem....

If you dont mind please provide your room size (sq feet) and air-cond model.

You are looking for how many HP air-cond? Actually is hard to tell from the picture as the different between Inverter R22 and Inverter R410a only the thickness of the copper piping. The diameter is still the same.

Normally air-cond wont get spoil so easy unless there is a power surge or lightning....

Definitely it help to save ur electricity if you choose inverter series.
