Well, do preventive action. Obsecure the 3-digit physically; i.e blanko or stick a small paper on it. |

Depends. PBB was damn strict that it asked for mother's name which makes my boss angry about it till today.
HSBC asked for IC while Citibank asked none. For all my card, I have scratch away the black paint so that it wont appear when photostat. When I wanna use, just angle it to the light can see liao. |

MBB also asked for mother's name. By the way, why your boss angry about it?
MBB also asked other questions like: 1. Do you have Zing T&G? 2. Do you have installament programme? 3. How you settle your CC bill? 4. What is your mobile number? 5. What is mailing address? During verification when needed, the CS will ask at least 2 to 3 of the above questions. |

I feel more comfortable if the bank ask different questions like Maybank, at least not the common one. It will be more secure.

QUOTE(andrekua @ Oct 20 2008, 12:19 AM) No....Mother Maiden Name is usually known only to the banks. Online stores or transactions wouldn't ask that sort of security question. And I saw lots of question regarding the 3 numbers on the back of the card. It's known as CVV btw. CVV is sort of first level verifying of a card to check whether or not the card is valid. From the 3 digits, there's algorithm to verify the card numbers, expiry date etc.. This is good infor if you guys decided to go more in-depth: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Card_Security_Code http://answers.google.com/answers/threadview?id=402632 |

NOrmally agents are not allowed to photostat the back copy of CC, only front will be sufficient
Previously I worked in a bank before, I always see the customer service, they will never photostat behind |
