QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Oct 8 2008, 05:12 PM) @princessgalaria, muAHahAHhahAHhaHAH oOOh.. U want to make use of an existing promotion huh?! Well, perhaps U can tell the CS and ask him if he can expedite ur process haha yes purpose of AA joining this card with citibank also to make more business right, I'm giving business to AA now some more flying to Aus wanna make use of that voucher, if they ever approve I read through the terms n condition on the net for few times, they really stated RM100 inside as well .. I doubt because 100 is not a small amout, they got that kind?

QUOTE(tinkerbel @ Oct 8 2008, 05:23 PM) Added on October 8, 2008, 5:25 pm@princessgalaria, I do believe it is RM100. If their communication materials state RM100, U will get ur RM100 but it normally takes them months before U get the reimbursement or the benefit. Don't know about the AA card though but U could always check. they said will send the voucher through email , giving some specific codes hhaha, you know all this free things always tied to terms and condition .. ALWAYS, hidden ones

QUOTE(wirelessdude @ Oct 10 2008, 11:27 PM) Even before I was a Premier customer, the manager from HSBC took the trouble to evaluate me and write a letter to their credit card department in KL to make an exception - that's how I got the gold card first. Hence, my faith in the bank and why I chose to deposit all my money there. Added on October 10, 2008, 11:32 pmDoes being a freelancer automatically mean I'm high risk? Although a freelancer, I'm very established in my industry (write for magazines, interviewed by Frost & Sullivan, speak at seminars, etc) and my annual earnings more than qualify me for plat. I also hv fully paid property, car and zero debt. It's a no brainer if a human actually evaluated me but I failed applying even for a basic card because it's an automatic system. Yeah in logic terms, freelance even earn more than a normal permanent position, however to some banks they list that as high risk not too sure why I guess due to freelance no fixed income and people doing events normally beforehand they'll owe here and there until they finish everything and of course the income is big, however bank dowan to take this risk I guess, if client to pay back the event and so on .. Yeah AA card is just a very low grade one, normally easily approved but my friend in event line not freelance, she's hired by a company, position is marketing but under event, citibank reject, as I know her salary is fixed

I thought they have to look through documents and see whether to approve or not? So fast 1 hour?
3weeks is ok for me if I'm not rushing to buy a ticket, I guess now I have to forget about it and just buy my ticket before the promo period ends than waiting for that card, not like I'll definitely get approve

QUOTE(auhckw @ Oct 14 2008, 12:31 PM) For citibank, this is from my experience Evening of Day 1: Fax the credit card form + photocopy of IC + photocopy of current credit card Noon of Day 2: Agent call saying approved Noon of Day 3: Went to Menara Citibank and got my card. Could have got it done on Evening of Day 2 but I'm not free then If you want I can give you the contact number of the agent. Quite good service Hm, so you own an existing card? I don't .. LOL My agent slow slow, I ask him what he also unsure .. *faint* I already submitted my application ..

NOrmally agents are not allowed to photostat the back copy of CC, only front will be sufficient
Previously I worked in a bank before, I always see the customer service, they will never photostat behind
