eh dont equate Bay with Abrams.

btw it's up to 41 reviews at RT, still 100%.

I don't. I respect JJ Abrams more actually. I compared the two directors not because of the personality but because of both of their movies are able to change people.

I greatly enjoyed both M:I:II and Cloverfield for what they are. He is by no means great yet, but he's still new.

Correct me if i'm wrong. If i'm not mistaken he only directed MI3. And he is the produce of Cloverfield. And he's the writer of Armageddon.

Movie/TV Series that he directed:

# Untitled Hunter Scott Project
# Anatomy of Hope
# Star Trek
# "The Office"
# "Jimmy Kimmel Live!"
# Mission: Impossible III
# "Alias"
# "Lost"
# "Felicity"

You're kidding. First it was 11 reviews, then 22 reviews, now 41 review. Still 100% ?

I am checking out RT right now.

95%

76 reviews later ! OMG... this looks set to be a "universally acclaimed" live-action flick on 2009. Sci-fi at its finest ?

J.J Abrams has done it again. Absolutely. I sooo want to watch it. Too bad I've got exams.

i just saw this. it's brilliant. totally different from other "lame-ass" star trek movies of the recent years. although i dont think it rivals wrath of khan, but it's definitely the top 3 star trek movies in my list.

it doesnt try too hard to shove the scifi elements that have become the identity of star trek into the audience. there are lots of dialogues on science and technology stuffs, but most of it were not exactly core to the plot, which was to my wife's relief. simply put, it's very satisfying for a trekkie like me, but it's not too hard to catch up for an absolute trek noob like my wife.

I'm one of those trek noobs. Never seen a single episode of the series, and only watched First Contact when I was a kid. This was awesome. The cast is fantastic, each character with his/her own distinctive swagger. The plot is frenetic, paced at warped speed and never slowing down, never ever having a boring moment. The humour is spot on. The visuals are good. And the whole thing provides a heck of a fun ride. Most impressive is its lightness, which is just about perfect - not campy yet never too serious. Everything just bloody works. Simon Pegg is awesome! I wont call this 'sci-fi', but a great summer blockbuster it certainly is.

When the credits starts rolling, the audiences in the cinema actually clapped! rclxms.gif
