This year is really exciting. JJ Abram's Star Trek, Micahel Bay's Transformers, McG's Terminator, and Xmen Origin.

Gonna watch this movie. Seemed like not much hype about this movie. Reading the reviews from the newspapers and magazines, this movie is really underrated in the beginning unlike the disappointing X-Men Origins, Dragon Ball and The Fast And The Furious which are overrated.
Am not a fan of Star Trek and Transformers as i was a child and i am sure i will not be dissapointed after watching both movies. Love JJ Abrams to bits. And yes, tomorrow is Wednesday. This post has been edited by maxizanc: May 6 2009, 02:48 AM |

Really respect a Michael Bay and JJ Abrams. They are not a Transformers and Star Trek fan but they direct the movie so he could turn a non-fan viewers into a die hard fan. Not only the viewers but them themselves.
Me also not a fan of Transformers and Star Trek, but these 2 directors able to make me watching the old school cartoons and tv series/movies. |

QUOTE(QuickFire @ May 7 2009, 12:15 AM) I greatly enjoyed both M:I:II and Cloverfield for what they are. He is by no means great yet, but he's still new. Correct me if i'm wrong. If i'm not mistaken he only directed MI3. And he is the produce of Cloverfield. And he's the writer of Armageddon.Movie/TV Series that he directed: # Untitled Hunter Scott Project # Anatomy of Hope # Star Trek # "The Office" # "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" # Mission: Impossible III # "Alias" # "Lost" # "Felicity" This post has been edited by maxizanc: May 7 2009, 12:27 AM |

Nobody ever mentioned about Eric Bana as Captain Nero? He was awesome as well. Just like tom Cruise from Trophic Thunder, i was like.. hey i know this guy but what's his name... patiently waited and saw Eric Bana name as Nero. LOL
Actually many actors from TV series acting in the movie such as Jennifer Morrison (Cameron from House), Zachary Quinto (Sylar from Heroes) and many more. This post has been edited by maxizanc: May 9 2009, 02:19 AM |

Haha. Whatever you wanna say. I'm happy because i was not a Star Trek fan, otherwise i will not enjoy JJ Abram's Star Trek (just like you) or probably stop being Star Trek fan after watching it.

QUOTE(killdavid @ May 10 2009, 12:42 AM) Just like The Watchmen and practically every remake or adaptation the elitist will come bashing this and complaining that. Yeah man. You spoke for me. - Movie leaves out scientific explanation: If they go in details, they lose the attention span of non-geeks and young generation audience. Movie Bombs in box-office and the end of a franchise. - Movie stays true to the old films, more character study = snooze-fest. Ppl complain not enough action like The Watchmen. Critics will say its not trying anything original and not pushing boundaries. Lets face it. Who would be so kind/stupid to fork out money from their own pockets just to please a bunch of hardcore geeks? Its all about the money. ST is an old franchise, it needs to connect with the younger audience to keep it alive. It can't survive by pleasing the elitist. |
