The cast is perfect, the story is fun, SFX and VFX rocks. Trekkie or just into sci-fi - GO SEE IT, you will enjoy every last minute of it.

Yeah, I noticed the villain from Iron Man. Can't remember which one is the 24 dude; but he's the one died first during free-fall jumping scene, rite?

Yeah, that's Faran Tahir... The other guy at the free-fall scene, Chief Engineer Olsen is played by Greg Ellis, he also appeared in the 1st and 2nd sequel of Pirates of the Carribean, he was also the lead villain in the 2008 Knight Rider TV pilot movie...

Yeah, Karl Urban (Eomer from LOTR) look so young. And, not to forget Simon Pegg from HOT FUZZ... he's hilarious.

And, the Russian accent dude; I can't stop laughing.

fun fun movie! reminds me of the jokes from Star Trek 6.
And Sylar's just SO Spock!! Can't imagine another actor as Spock

But a few complaints tho...
1) Certain scenes goncang too much till pening.
2) A little uncomfortable with the pretty major changes to the Trek storyline
3) Where's the main Star Trek theme?!?!?! Waited for the credits to end but still didn't hear it

amazing, 100% very best movie, i never go watch star trek before, this is my first star trek movie, damn superb, the movie was about 2 hours + , and when u watch it, u totally don't know the time passed by so fast , and the movie keep u focusing on it, until u didn't aware the movie already 2 hours +, not like lord of the ring when u sitting 2 hours + , u kindly moving ur ass around already.....hahahah, very recommended.......... i give 10/10 , if you are the first time star trek viewer. and 8/10 for star trek fans.

U mean the Alexander Courage original version, right? It was played in its entirety during the end credits... But it was mixed with Michael Giacchino's composition...

Not a fan of Star Trek and the only Star Trek movie I've seen was First Contact which left me super blur. But when I saw this new film, I was totally blown away. Very nicely done with balance sequences of action, humuor and drama. Highly recommended. I totally can't stop laughing at the "Wictor Wictor" part. Hahaha...

Of course he was. lol

I can think of only 3 negatives, none of which ruins the experience by much:

1) Abrams employed too much shay cam in the space battles and some of the physical fights.
2) The villain wasn't a really interesting one, but you hardly notice it.
3) I cant think of a highlight sequence from the movie. Perhaps the entire movie is the highlight, but try thinking one standout scene and see if you can come up with one.
