QUOTE(hypermount @ Jul 1 2008, 11:06 AM) me around 16km/l for stop n go traffic.... wow RM72 full tank at 1 bar blinking.. 16km/L on stop & go traffic is very good already.for me RM20 still could bring me to batu pahat from melaka.. proud to be part of the family. Added on July 1, 2008, 11:18 amsaw some sediments on my coolant expansion tank... sillicate buidup at the hose joints...bad sign.. DO not ever follow the manual, better flush @ clean the system yearly even it's a close circuit one. Hmmm sediments AFAIK, I've tried other brands, some are "green", some are "white"... but after few days, they all become brown with sediments. This Toyota one maintain as new as 1st use (red color) even after a year. |

ugh guys, im in the midst of buying a savvy H-line 2007 model right now.
but i cant choose whether to pick energy orange or genetic silver. im ok with both colors. energy orange looks refreshing, while genetic silver, when put into 14"/15" gold-coloured replica impul rims will look abit like impul latio sport |

QUOTE(lj0000 @ Jul 1 2008, 06:00 PM) Remove the upper hose on the right top of the radiator and the bottom hose on the left. Hose down from the top of the radiator and do reverse flush from bottom. It's very hard to remove the hose clamp spring clip with a normal plier (you need to use a special locking plier), change it to screw hose clamp, easier to remove with a screwdriver. If you're adventurous or have serious problem with sediment, remove all the hoses you can find, like the one on the thermostat housing beside the engine and clean the hoses. After that you can refill and reflush using flushing formula or distilled water repeatly ...then only finally add coolant mixture.Added on July 4, 2008, 10:22 am QUOTE(dstl1128 @ Jul 1 2008, 06:16 PM) 16km/L on stop & go traffic is very good already. HOAT coolant is pretty expensive, that toyota coolant is cheap for it's price. Caltex Long Life is RM16.50 per 500ml, sold in Jusco coolant made by a local company Maximilin is around RM32 for 1.2L (more expensive yellow type one). Use only distilled water - tap water could cause heavy sediment in long term.Hmmm sediments AFAIK, I've tried other brands, some are "green", some are "white"... but after few days, they all become brown with sediments. Toyota coolant is expensive when buy in accessory shop (around RM38), where you can get it at RM18 through genuine parts Toyota dealer. No idea whether Toyota one's could use in Savvy. |
