Thanks to youngman china lo..
i wonder why proton dint take this into its own hands.
This also means, our savvy is going into China!

i think can guess a bit the specs:

Lithium ion battery
max distance 300km/charge
??
top speed 145km/h
??
energy cost/km <3sen euro

charging time 7 hours using 16 amps (house socket)
charging time 3 hours using special 35amps industrial socket
availability - Q4 2009

price 22.5keuro

this also means, SAVVY will NOT be phased out within this few years!

Check and pinpoint where the sound come from then have a peek from below the dashboard...could be wires/cables hitting the dashboard.

I took delivery of my 2007 AMT 3 days ago and the ownership experience has been most satisfying.
As we all know, the 2007 stock had been languishing in the stockyard for a couple of months to a year.
My Savvy was born in Proton's Tanjong Malim plant on 7 May 2007.

My Proton Edar SA has got it properly polished and waxed. The paintwork and rubber linings are still
in pristine condition. No leaks while driving during a downpour yesterday.

No creaks or rattles were detected, even during engine break-in at high speeds exceeding 140km/h.
No fluid leaks detected. Air-con is very cold. AMT is working well, no jerks or unusually loud sounds
from the hydraulic actuators. It is very nice to drive in all traffic conditions. I have driven the Alfa 156
selespeed before and the AMT is comparatively smoother in operation. Alfa could have improved
the selespeed in the 147, because the 156 older version is a bit problematic, notably the leaking of
hydraulic fluid.

The only problem I had so far was a loose fitting petrol tank cap which was promptly replaced by the SA.

So far so good. I love my Savvy. thumbup.gif

my latest FC report

i straight away went to petrol station right after the fuel indicator start blinking. then i set mileage count to zero and refuel RM30. this time i drive more to uncle style in economic way happy.gif average speed around 80-90km/h. 90km highway, 70km jalan kampung and the rest city driving with a lot of traffic light and traffic jam.

i managed to get 244km before the fuel bar start blinking again. so, with rm30 can go 244km. 30/244=0.12 means 1km only RM0.12 almost the same like what proton claim that savvy only consume RM0.11 of petrol per km.

btw, im driving AMT, done 40k km already.

dear mutt
can u do the test using this method

1. pump full tank till click
2. reset to zero
3. run around 100km
4. go back to the same station, same gun, same time
5. pump full tank again till click

see whats the fuel consumption (xx liter/km)

proud to be part of the family.

Added on July 1, 2008, 11:18 amsaw some sediments on my coolant expansion tank...

sillicate buidup at the hose joints...bad sign..

DO not ever follow the manual, better flush @ clean the system yearly even it's a close circuit one.
