Got my sterling grey 2007 M-Line AMT today.

Went through the checklist with the SA, and everything checks out OK.

Took the car on the highway for engine break-in, right up to 145km/h.

Very stable and thank god, a rattle-free interior. Happy with the Savvy!

Yeah, I was quite surprised that a small car like the Savvy can be pushed to more than 140km/h without breaking a sweat.

I have driven the Alfa 156 selespeed and surprisingly the AMT is not too bad in comparison. 

what abt rattle at dashboard? can they fix it?

2. reset to zero
3. run around 100km
4. go back to the same station, same gun, same time
5. pump full tank again till click

see whats the fuel consumption (xx liter/km)

btw, how many time do u guys pump ur tire? once per week? once per 2 week? month?

The Myvi was just plain disappointing. It handles like a strand of wet noodle, it isn't particularly comfortable, and built quality was just so-so. The engine was coarse and loud, was not powerful, and road noise was very memorable. Also, word is around that the fuel consumption is awful, in some cases with people claiming it costs about as much as their Wira 1.5, a car that is about 15 years older, is carburettored, has a 3 speed auto, and weighs about the same. The only reason why anyone should buy it is because of the perceived reliability of Peroduas. To make matters worse, it isn't cheap. I would say there is no reason, under any circumstance, that anyone should buy it, but the Myvi fanboys would come at me real quick. Just witness the mindless "Myvi rules..." posting in local forums...

i edy ordered zaptop vs. would like to c if there is any performance diff or not. as i read in savoc, amt user can feel the diff alot. if there is no diff, there goes my rm85 flying to drain.

also worth mentioning, a guy in shah alam is also quite experienced in savvy. the last time i checked with him, he got ready stock of the coils, tdc sensor etc.

wow.. the mechanic show me.. even small problem can lead to catastrophic cases:

case 1 - leaky radiator cause overheat - burnt the gaskets - proton no stock to replace for 1 year sitting at workshop (not his shop)

case 2 - leaky reservior for amt oil. manufacturing fault i think as the crack doesnt seem from force. but the real problem is at the drain plugs at the oilpan ( i think) leak until the amt cant work, cant change gear and the amt light on. just double seal the leak solved the case

i dint know this guy can fix so many thing until i chat with him abt savvy and he start pulling spareparts from under his table to show me

Cuz today my fuel meter blinking at 1 bar... i was so scared, off aircon, off radio and drive at 50km/h oni... 

Anyway who is Jeff lwh? why he sounds like he hates savvy so much 1?? he drives savvy or not?

my savvy now vry makan minyak d... around 360km when 1 bar blinking... means fc is 12km/l oni... haiz... so sad...

Anyway i just read back the older post... do we really hv to flash our foglamps when we see other savvy's? LOL...

How on earth are you guys getting such high km/l?

For me I very very rarely get stuck in traffic. 95% of my driving is highway or regular town driving, and my overall average is always 13-14km/l only. Is it a heavier right foot issue?

fun car? i dont think so. however, Saga has bigger boot space is the fact. others are almost the same.

I bought the Savvy car in Jan'09. the salesmen kinda dishonest with me..when the time i approach him ( nov'08 ) he said i still can get the promotion along with car..which is free petrol card, tinted, free service warranty..etc.

After i got the car the salesmen telan all the promotion and  even thou not giving me the tinted.i was complained him to the officer in his branch..the officer seem to be standing in the salesmen side.

After all , i really hate buying proton car.but overall the performance of the savvy is fair enuf..i just regret that i choose Semi-Auto..kinda hard to drive
