today is not my lucky day.

day start with heavy raining.
start engine and got jerk when engine is below 2000rpm.
could be the engine stutter problems

http://www.savoc.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t...ea080bbe67f86a5

but my car 2500km only. not yet 10k. haih. do u think i need to clean my throttle body?

one more thing, almost met an accident. almost hit car in front. slippery and wet road. i guess the abs did help me. legs shaking after that. can heard the tyre make sound when i press brake very hard. almost kiss the front car's ass. sweat.gif cry.gif

There's some water on the spark plug holes...it will go even if you dun blow dry it.
Worse case, hope it didn't spoilt the connector due to spark arcing - burning thru a small hole causing leakage when the spark grounded on a water droplet.

Read this to get the solutions and preventive measures (o-ring)

i did put o-ring last week. also use silicone to seal it as mention in savoc.net.

hurm. it cant be my TB got too much dirt. cos i dont hv problems to start my engine. i think maybe some sensor got wet due to rain. sad.gif will try later.

QUOTE(hypermount @ Jun 21 2008, 12:50 AM)
could be the spark plug well get wet with water - hence the ignition related prob like what I've said earlier... I suspect it's due to water is not drain properly thru the gutter panel - the black panel under the wiper during heavy rain - hence water go into the engine bay...the hole is stuck with leaves, twigs, debris etc.
*
ok. will chk.

just now got stutter prob when rpm below 2000. but after i restart the engine; my car, ok edy. sad.gif owh today i didnt hear any amt sound when i open my door's car like it use too! haih. i pening kepala edy hypermount. so sad! rclxub.gif btw, no raining today.

hypermount, can u ask ur proton's fren that amt sound u mention b4 is for what? chk the gear, clutch or what? cos i think if smthg happened can figure it out. hurm.

edit: just now i check the sound is back. biggrin.gif after reading from savoc, the sound if for hydraulic clutch n gear pump sort of.

Got my sterling grey 2007 M-Line AMT today.

Went through the checklist with the SA, and everything checks out OK.

Took the car on the highway for engine break-in, right up to 145km/h.

Very stable and thank god, a rattle-free interior. Happy with the Savvy!
*
wait till one month. sweat.gif mine got some minor rattle after one month usage. cry.gif but only heard when got bumpy/hole road. my front absorber (i think) got nyit nyit sound on bumpy/hole road.

QUOTE(mutt @ Jun 24 2008, 09:37 PM)
yesterday i drove constantly 150-170km/h for 20mins along plus highway using my AMT savvy! (2nd time my car hit 170km/h sweat.gif) actually the story begin when i saw a white SE MyVI driving so fast (that time my speed around 120km/h). then,i tailgating the myvi at 150-160km/h! guess what? my car can push even faster. the matter of fact, myvi will never beat SAVVY tongue.gif

i dare to do so cos my petrol usage is claimable

anyone will shock when they know car like savvy got a great stability even in hi-speed. 145km/h is peanut for savvy  nod.gif

QUOTE(hypermount @ Jun 25 2008, 05:30 PM)
yes the only major wear n tear part I changed on nearly my 3-year old baby was tyres....

My other half is Johorean, and I'm quite familiar with JB also..staying in melaka.
I got that when first got that car,,rectified during 1st 1K km service, something to do with the coil spring and bush.

Savvy is stable cos the chassis is rigid enough, you can feel it when going bumps or potholes, the whole chassis held it well together..even bigger cars like gen.2 and nip cars can't be compared. no need waste money on strut bars and other suspension mods.

120-130km/h is the sweetest spot for me..160km/h still stable even on my 13'' wheels and tyres..

and yea saga BLM stability also sucks... beroktua cars no need mention la...the worst is viva, the doors , the ride, steering, gearbox everything sux to the max..really like a toy car, nip cars gene.
do u mean the nyit nyit sound? then i will rectified this on my 10k service. can right? hopefully they will fix it. huhu.

when on uneven/hole/bumpy road only. else no sound at all. hehe.

QUOTE(hypermount @ Jun 26 2008, 09:18 PM)
Check and pinpoint where the sound come from then have a peek from below the dashboard...could be wires/cables hitting the dashboard.
*
ic. will check.

QUOTE(lj0000 @ Jun 27 2008, 12:23 AM)
maybe also time to check the alignments and tyres to eliminate the shake in the first place. remember to rotate tayar before its too late!
*
my car still new what. sweat.gif btw did my alignment last week. well, as i said, bumpy road/holes/uneven road can only heard some rattle sound at dashboard. i think near steering la.

btw, rmmbr abt the amt sound when we open our door? realize the sound become quieter ler. not loud. can barely hear it. normally the sound loud. i donno this is a good sign or not. haih.

so which model r u and what year? haih. maybe hi-line dont hv panel on steering. sad.

QUOTE(mutt @ Jul 12 2008, 09:25 PM)
my latest FC report

pump RM50 right after my fuel indicator start blinking. set mileage meter to zero and i manage to get 251km only sleep.gif (2nd pump manage to get 257km)

40% highway
30% 2 lane road
30% city

the reasons my savvy not enough 'savvy' are

on highway, my average speed was 150km/h sweat.gif
on 2lane road, drive like ah beng, over taking cars and lorries recklessly sleep.gif
too much braking and accelerating

3rd pump, refuel RM50. manage to get 317km

this time my average speed is 100km/h
normal driving style. sometimes too much braking and accelerating

tyre pressure also play the major role in fuel saving.
* my reports based on the same road i use
*
so basically how many km/l? lazy to read la. tongue.gif

QUOTE(lj0000 @ Jul 13 2008, 12:42 PM)
can go buy a blaupunkt unit that grips on the steering, use IR to remote control same as in nissan sentra.

or go for the sony unit that look like another paddle fixed to ur steering column.

of course the head unit have to change lah.
*
no money larr.... blush.gif

btw, 1st time auto light turn on. today go ronda around jb, pusing2 stuck in traffic light. suddenly auto light turn on and gear turn from D to N. i think this is a mechanism to protect the hydraulics clutch from overheating, or it edy overheat! sweat.gif

i guess, mine is proton oil not renault one. next week must buy renault fluid! shakehead.gif
