QUOTE(abasan @ Oct 30 2008, 12:41 PM) Dudes, i'm getting poisoned by this thread. I was seriously thinking of N96 but after bad review on the keypad and battery life, I'm now thinking about Omnia. Omnia is a bit difficult for texting while driving..Only thing is... no real keypad is scary for me cause I'm so used to ipaq 66xx. My gripe with Windows mobile is I keep losing memory space and donno where it goes. So typical of Microsoft. Also the phone function of Ipaq is such a turn off. Frequently cannot connect to an incoming call and sometimes very difficult to call out. Volume also sucks. Furthermore - GPS is important for me. So how's everybody's take on the Garmin software? Is it easy to use for Malaysia? Other country maps are easy to get? How about games and Software - like converter, news and stocks etc? Are there a lot available for this phone? Btw, who's your trusted dealer and how much for the 16gb version. AP la... with good warranty of course. I usually buy from Sunway Pyramid up there... but i always do that when i'm almost reach my wife's office..hehe.. memory leak - roughly it will take about 5mb of program space after sometimes u use the device (e.g: my free program space drop from 55mb --> 50mb) always use Task Manager to close the programs.. and memory cleaner like Memmaid, SKTools.. GPS - i think it should be more better on the touchscreen device bcoz u can easily drag to navigate the map if necessary... Garmin is easy to use..finger friendly games - the lack of actual d-pad really troublesome to play games except those game which using touchscreen..not so many choices.. software - for me, windows mobile is the best platform to get any software that u want..flexible & customizable... the key is to search with right keywords.. anyway, it's all from my personal view... |

Bro,
Sorry friend.... didn't check this forum for about a week...... It's retail price.... my advise is better go to Samsung Sparepart centre lor.... cheaper and CONFIRMED ORIGINAL product! Regards, Ken Added on October 31, 2008, 7:43 ambro, I faced the same problem before.... Hmmm... You can follow the step :- 1) Make sure you have backup and have all your software setup file downloaded ( Ur omnia will be hardreset after the upgrade.... U need to re-install all the software ) 2) Make sure your activesync AND samsung modem was installed and you have downloaded the ROM for either XP or Vista. ** you can download samsung modem driver here.... http://www.samsungmobile.com/promotion/omnia/index.jsp Once step 1 is completed...you may proceed to below steps:- 2) Connect your Omnia with the data cable and let it get sync with your notebook. 3) Once your PC is sync with your PC / Notebook... run your ROM.... 4) Reset your Omnia by "poking" your stylus to the "hole" beside the Power ON/OFF button on your TOP RIGHT corner of your OMNIA... 5) Once your system got reset, you will be able to see your ROM's "START" button is enabled! 6) Press "Start" button... and wait for your upgrade to be completed! Good luck!! Regards, Ken This post has been edited by leecnken: Oct 31 2008, 07:43 AM |

QUOTE(Doggystyle @ Oct 30 2008, 11:08 PM) Hi guys, What i did is resize any format of video to 400 pixel width. If not the video will lag. And i think you can't play files above 720p IIANM.Is this phone powerful enough to play a typical 700mb divx/xvid movie without reencoding to smaller res? |
