So far only CorePlayer v1.2.5 worked for me.
Some versions cant install.

Working nicely........ much better than the default player.

You mean buy from any Shop as long as its warranty by FMG? Or a shop name FMG? Sry for my clueless question, kinda noob about these things  blush.gif
*
FMG is the authorized distributor of Samsung phones and PDA in Malaysia. When you buy an FMG set you will get full support and warranty from MG.
In case of any problem with your Samsung mto obile devices, you can just drop in at any Samsung Service Centers for repairs, etc.

As one poster pointed out, most of Samsung PDA sold in Malaysia is an FMG set.
However, make sure to ask the shop first, and take a look at the battery compartment and the box for FMG stickers smile.gif

If you are buying Samsung Omnia, you should also entitled an original Samsung pouch for free. Some shops will add-in free bluetooth headset/earpiece for you smile.gif

most probably the avi files that you want to play are encoded in xvid formats, you can try Core player or the freeware TCPMP player smile.gif

Yeap i am using Opera to play youtube directly inside the browser but i am using a custom rom with FlashLite3.1 which is uncompatible with Samsung widget which is support ver2.1. You either can view it though TCpmp with plugin add on in PPCIE or use Coreplayer(This player sucks) or flash a custom rom like me tongue.gif.

I've tested it before using wifi, go to youtube mobile version den click on the video u would like to stream. It will automatically launch the streamplayer and play automatically. Quality wise so so only... at least better than nothing hehe icon_rolleyes.gif

Hm guys, i'm still on H3 and my phone is 11 days old. The battery life doesn't seem to improve. Use it a lot and it can only last for a day. Should i upgrade my firmware ? What's the recommended firmware for me to upgrade? J6 ?

DTHJ6 is not so compatible with our region. You might want to consider DXHJ1 or get one of those custom ROM. Personally I will go for Modaco Custom Rom (MCR02) based on DTHJ6

just follow destiny 6, make sure you are on Windows XP, installed activesync 4.5 and samsung modem driver,

This is how I update my firmware:

1. connect your Omnia to your pc using the cable provided.
2. Run the rom installer. The program will ask you to turn off your Omnia.
3. Turn OFF your Omnia. Unplug the usb cable, then re-plug the cable back.
4. Turn ON your Omnia.
5. Look at the installer, it will say PDA detected, click Start button.
6. Wait until your PDA restart and the green Windows Mobile 6.1 screen appears back on your Omnia.
7. Done biggrin.gif
Cool! I just updated to DXHJ1 a few hours before I discovered the Modaco Custom Rom.. I will wait one or two weeks to try their custom ROM.. too lazy to re-install back my fav appz n games

tercupee,

Quick confirmation, we dont need GrandPrix to install the custom ROM right? Just install it the same way to install all the unofficial ROMs..?
