can i use mp3 tones for sms notification?
coz i can't find how to....

Yes u can by creating a folder name "My Documents" and put it under my storage. Keep whatever ringtone u want in that folder and choose from it
My advice is dont those long long ringtone as ur sms tone cause it wont stop playing after u've read the SMS

ok...then how to set it as sms tone?
i discovered how to set it as ringtones for incoming calls...
but don't know how to set it as sms tones...

LOL go to start -> settings -> under personal tab, sounds & notifications
select notifications tab, den under the event drop-down-list choose messaging: new text message
den select the ringtone u wish to use lor

Yeap i am able to drag the timeframe but must wait for 1-3 second before the movie start to playback normally. I am Using TCPMP player and this is the best player i've used for Omnia so far.

Hi Omnians,

I have problem regarding the alarm. i have put a snooze in alarm setting. The problem is when alarm start to ring, then i try to dismiss the alarm. But i dont have chance to click the dismiss notification as the dismiss msg or ring gone away after i unlock..Too back after few minutes, it will ring again due to the snooze function which mean i have not fully dismiss the alarm on the 1st time.

Can any1 help?? I need to dismiss the notification so that snooze function is dismiss . I knew i can solve it if i dont lock my phone at all. But any other ways to solve??

8gb can get around 2500 - 2600, 16gb im not sure quite. I got mine 8gb for RM2600 1 month+ back

Hey guys. I'm having a problem here with my omnia after I upgraded it on yesterday to version DZHH3. Everything are working just fine except I can't turn my phone mode on. Em, anyone could pls enlighten me on how to resolve this issue ?

erhmmm im from penang, i got my phone in mainland and yes my phone is FMG set as most of the samsung phones are FMG, samsung doesnt carry AP set AFAIK

I think you got the same problem as me before.. have u tried turning OFF your Omnia for 10-15 seconds and then turn back ON. This will fix albeit temporarily.

I upgraded my firmware to HJ6 and the problem is gone

By the way.. latest Samsung Official Firmware for Malaysia region now is DZHJ1

ya... lol.. but if you already install the "not official" firmware, you cannot replace it with the official one? correct me if i am wrong.

u still can mate, just as normal,

more than 1GB avi will be laggy and cant drag forward.
below 500mb is ok.

if mp4 format will be very smooth.
windowmedia player can play rmvb but laggy....maybe my rmvb plugin not working right.

TCPMP Media Player and coreplayer still my favourite.
just tested and it can play some ehem ehem 1gb avi video at not bad streaming.

beside. having a problem. camera cant be started sometime after 1~2 days of running many programme...
even i use task manager shut down all running programme the camera still cant be start....

anyone having the same issues?

phone been running for 1 week using J1 rom, so far everything seems fine phone never hang but it does lag when the battery low

anyone knows why i can't play divx file? i put some divx files and i tried to play it but i'm only be able to play one file... the rest of the divx files i can just play for 8 seconds then it will jump to another file... why is that so?

another thing is, i set my ring type as normal ring (not increasing ring) but why when i receive incoming call, the ringtone is like increasing ring? the first 2 seconds it rings in kinda low volume but when it comes to the 3rd second it started to ring loud all the way... is that normal?

To all of ya that answered my question, thanks. From your feedback, it seems that save for HD content or some other highbitrate stuff, it should run it reasonably well.

Does the 64k color actually affect the video experience in a negative way?
