he focus on using the 3D more for making a perfect environment, then using the 3D to make cheap trills by using it to make things come to you or thrown to you.

*still amaze by how real the mirrors look inside and the LCD screens too*

this movie is nice , although story is abit predictable , but still love it .

I'm assuming since the Avatar's are merely lifeless objects which requires a mind to control, they can not perish? Becoz Norm's avatar got shot, he got "disconnected" but at the end his avatar was still standing there watching the humans.

this movie dont leave much plotholes, they explain everything, and show every detail! except inter-species sex scene

Maybe u should watch the director cut or extended version when bluray available, sure wont have any cut scene.

watched this in 3D. awesome! The graphic damnnnnnnnnn awesome!!! but too bad 3D dont have subtitles in Melaka.

cause malaysian movie board how to put subtitle into a 3D movie? i dun think they got that kind of technology capability~

But first time i siok watch movie without those stupid subtitle which are like sometimes incorrect, and block the view.

Nice movie, loved pandora and the CGI, was totally blown away although the storyline is predictable

Just got back from 1U watching this movie.

To be very very honest and not to discourage you guys from watching this movie,the only good thing about this movie is the CGI.

Besides that it is draggy,long and boring...storyline is not really solid,and acting is just ok only.

The parts where the guy & girl start walking in the forest is just to show of the CGI,thats all.So if you dont watch this movie in 3D,really theres nothing to shout about..

And why o why must the Navi's dress up like tribal african ppl? Anything to do with Africa hosting the world cup next year?

And yea,a certain part of the song sounds very very similar to the one in TITANIC if you realised..

It is definately not the movie of the year.

Sorry but I can only give this movie a 6.5/10 ..

I agree. It's really not that great a film. A spectacle? Yes. But it's not in a league of its own.

Looooooooooooooooove this movie, I am not even watch it in 3D, just the storyline itself it's already good enough, might watch it again in 3D.

actually, it's actually easier to add subtitles on digital movies coz... well... it's digital. u can add additional layer on screen just like we do with VLAN. problem is, we dont have access to do it. at least to my knowledge. 3D movies are basically two movies rendered at the same time, one for each eye. imagine they shot a movie using 2 cameras side by side. the technology is much simpler than most think .

and since 3D are fully digital, there are no scratches. digital film runs at higher frame rate. normal film only runs at 24fps, which is still the industry standard unfortunately.

I will give my full comment on the absolute epic-ness that is Avatar soon... watched it in 3D on Friday.

No word can sum what Avatar has achieved.

I am dying to watch it again... but it will be in 2D this time.

I really, really wish there was a Digital 2D version of this movie.
