Is the storyline going to be like pocahontas?

what is this movie about? seems like the latest craze but when i see the poster...like normal only

When I saw AVATAR special preview a few months ago at GSC Midvalley, staff there mentioned to me, to sit nearer to screen to get better 3D viewing. If you seat at the back, can't get the best of it.

AVATAR 3D isn't like those 3D popping-image-to-your-face kinda of 3D. It's totally difference experience. 

So tickets can now be purchased already... say for Friday show at GSC 1U ?

All this ho-ha hype..after seeing James "Avatar" sounded like stone age ppl seeing CGI for the first time.. so jakun..

C'mon wake up fella...its no longer a big deal with CGI nowaday... anything is possible in this century after the evolution of computer technologies... Thanks to George Lucas... the birth of special effects using computers which were scratch built, hand made model and background platform, the idea of using used future effects and all those idea of space ship, AT-AT walker.... all were all adapted from his idea and story, without him all just a dull movie.

The all time credit should be to George.... apparently most of the sc-fi film producer/creators were happened to evolved by George's Star Wars.

Talkin about big budget film of this century.. do not dare to compare with Star Wars... IMO in mankind history the biggest budget film ever made in human history is Star Wars and it was indeed the biggest achievement of film-making which open our mind to anything that beyond impossible is possible.

It will be a not big deal if Avatar will bag special effect award..its is nothing compare to what ILM had done with Star wars... so in conclusion AVATAR just a plain evolved CGI movie.. no big fuzz about it.

the only thing i dun like abt the movie, is the aliens kiss....i mean, i can understand human kiss, bt aliens...dont u guys find it weird for aliens to behave like we do?

I felt disappointed after finish watching Avatar and stepped out the shopping mall and have a glimpsed at the surroundings

starcraft = spaceship

dota / warcraft = beast and animals

matrix = teh robots

we are not in kansas folks we are in pandora 

i wonder what language is the aliens using . kinda like african language hmm 

One word: Orgasmic! Ok the storyline might have been cliched and the plot was kinda thin, but boy oh boy, James Cameron has scored a perfect 10/10 for the execution, hands down best CGI in a movie ever...

if avatar die, will the real person die too? question here

There is something familiar about Allan Koay's review of Avatar in today's Star newspaper. There's two paragraphs where he says the 3D isn't simply gimmicks where they're throwing things at you... I have read it from somewhere else, cannot remember where.

I'm assuming since the Avatar's are merely lifeless objects which requires a mind to control, they can not perish? Becoz Norm's avatar got shot, he got "disconnected" but at the end his avatar was still standing there watching the humans.
