Nope

*big spoilers for the answer*
Near the end, Norm can be seen taking care of the remaining survivors.

I'm assuming since the Avatar's are merely lifeless objects which requires a mind to control, they can not perish? Becoz Norm's avatar got shot, he got "disconnected" but at the end his avatar was still standing there watching the humans.

Totally made me feel like a kid again. The moment they landed in Pandora, it felt like the moment I was sucked into Jurassic Park.

I'm with kobe on this. I felt that the dialogue wasn't that inspiring to begin with and the best lines were probably those spoken in the Na'vi language (the subtitles were in Malay though). Lines like "let's dance" and "I figured he wouldn't look up" had me cringing.

There were a few scenes which had me licking at my lips and on the edge of my seat like the one where Sully was chased by that ruthless 'panther' like creature, when he wanted to capture his Irkhan (his flying mount) and that final battle with Quaritch. But yeah, the one that stands out would be the morning after Sully and Neytiri 'mated' (how was it done anyways? Did they connect their 'usb's? Thx to the Malaysian censors and their disregard for animated porn, we're left with our own imaginations).

The storyline wasn't brilliant, certainly not original in any way. It had a little of Dances with the Wolves, Pocahontas, Ferngully and The Last Samurai, but what it succeeded in was creating a beautiful world and giving the characters meaning and substance. You wanted Neytiri to plant another arrow down Quaritch's throat so bad. You wanted the Na'vi ppl to accept Sully becoz you felt for him. You wept in your heart when the tree was brought down. You whooped in joy when Eywa answered and the Pandora inhabitants rallied to bring down the greedy humans.

Well, the premise of District 9 was definitely far more original than what we have in Avatar, and the delivery could've been better, but this is a movie working at about 10% of Avatar's budget and from a relative newbie director in comparison to the god that is Cameron. D9 pips it for me becoz with the limited amount of money it had to work around, it surpassed all expectations and I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. The main actor, a relative unknown, had more acting chops than Worthington! Avatar is right up there, behind D9 and above Star Trek for me, but the fact that it cost a small country's GDP and then some, the expectations were massive, and sad to say, its not even Cameron's best film.

James Cameron should fuse "Avatar" and "Titanic" together... "Avatanic"  tongue.gif

Imagine the Titanic ship mysteriously floats into the unknown cold ocean waters, and when everything clears, they are on Pandora's ocean! The occupants rush to see this mysterious place... and they start venturing. And then the encounters begin... "Top of the morning, mate!" A passenger says to a Na'vi. "<navi language>" says the Na'vi. Then the attack begins. Before the attack, the Na'vi start rounding up more warriors and tribes and give long speeches. All the passengers board the Titanic in panic. Some don't make it. That makes the captain of the ship angry. And wants revenge.

The Na'vi begin attacking the ship and all hell breaks lose. Incredibly, the Titanic is somehow equipped with awesomeness weapons and starts shooting at them Na'vi pew-pew laser fire... then all the Pandora flying creatures including the Great Leonopteryx and Mountain Banshees start attacking the ship.

An epic battle... a tragic tale... and in the middle of it all... Jack and Rose struggles to find balance. In the end, Jack meets Neytiri and falls for her. Rose meets Jake Sully and falls for him. Their worlds cross in a movie unlike anything you've ever seen... or had never been seen in this manner.

A nude portrait of Neytiri?
