One word: Orgasmic! Ok the storyline might have been cliched and the plot was kinda thin, but boy oh boy, James Cameron has scored a perfect 10/10 for the execution, hands down best CGI in a movie ever...

The last time I saw Giovanni Ribisi in a movie, he's always acting as a troublesome teenager or a rookie cop, its good to see that he's acting as the boss of the entire operation, and he's good at it too thumbup.gif

LOL! when i watch the movie, i notice the music like got titanic song feel.

the songs when they show the ship sailing, feels like the same when they show the na'vi's tree.

James Horner was also the composer for Braveheart which had strong influence to Titanic. He did the music for Cameron's Aliens too.

Cameron uses different composer for his movies, depending on the theme of the movie and it's always a perfect fit. I can't imagine anybody else doing True Lies and the first 2 Terminator movies other than Brad Fiedel (for the first time I don't like Danny Elfman's work on Salvation). In the other hand I don't think Brad Fiedel will be suitable for Titanic or Avatar or even The Abyss.

I woke up today with Avatar still in my mind. I'm not sure if this is a masterpiece just yet, but Cameron surely has done something quite spectacular with this. And I'm not just talking about the technical aspects of the film. The storytelling and pacing here are unmatched by any other movie I've seen this year.

There is something familiar about Allan Koay's review of Avatar in today's Star newspaper. There's two paragraphs where he says the 3D isn't simply gimmicks where they're throwing things at you... I have read it from somewhere else, cannot remember where.
